This report shows that in June 2020, the total number of mobile phones shipped in China was 28.63 million, down 16.6% year on year, of which 27.706 million were smartphones, down 16.6% year on year. Although the number of new phones released in June increased by a rare 24%, and 618 promoted this major event in the month, it did not seem to arouse the enthusiasm of the market.

In the first half of 2020, the total domestic mobile phone shipments reached 153 million units (including 149 million smart phones), down 17.7% year on year, and the number of new models on the market was also less than the same period last year. Obviously, the epidemic has hit the mobile phone market hard.

The share of 5G mobile phones continued to grow steadily. Statistics showed that in June, the domestic 5G mobile phones shipped reached 17.513 million, accounting for 61.2%, up 14.9% from May. Among the mobile phones shipped in the first half of the year, the 5G mobile phones also accounted for 41.5% (63.597 million). The aftereffect of all in 5G mobile phone manufacturers has fully emerged.
