This data shows that the total shipment volume of the domestic mobile phone market in the second quarter of 2021 was 78.1 million units, down 11% year on year. IDC believes that due to the absence of heavy products in the second quarter, the existing products failed to fully stimulate the replacement demand of most users, which slowed down the overall shipment pace.

Among them, vivo won the first place with 18.6 million units shipped, with a year-on-year increase of 23.6%; OPPO ranked second with 16.5 million units shipped, Xiaomi ranked third with 13.4 million units shipped, an increase of 47%, and Apple ranked fourth with 8.6 million units shipped.

Huawei's mobile phone shipments fell out of the top five in the second quarter due to external sanctions, which was replaced by the glory of independence from Huawei Play5、 With the launch of Glory 50 series and other new machines, the shipment volume in the second quarter has reached 6.9 million units, but it has dropped by 46% year-on-year. It is worth noting that IDC's data shows that in the second quarter, the shipping share of manufacturers other than the top 5 manufacturers reached 18.1%, while in the second quarter of 2019, when the mobile phone market was considered to have become oligarchic, the share of other manufacturers was only 7.1%, which may mean that in the current period of reshuffle, the opportunity for small manufacturers and niche brands is coming again.
