The quadrennial World Cup will officially open in the middle of June. I believe many fans have been waiting for it for a long time. In November 2017, CCTV announced that it had obtained the exclusive broadcasting authorization for the 2018~2022 FIFA events in mainland China, including the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
In other words, any domestic video streaming media wants to broadcast this year's World Cup, either to broadcast CCTV, or to purchase the 2018 World Cup live broadcast distributed by CCTV. It is less than 20 days before the opening of the World Cup. At present, Youku Video has officially announced that it has been authorized to broadcast the 2018 FIFA World Cup live. As of May 28, 2018, it is also the first third-party video platform in China to be officially authorized.
It is known that at present, third party video platforms such as iQiyi, Tencent Video, Sohu Video, LeTV Video, etc. have not been authorized to broadcast the 2018 World Cup.
