Unpacking

When the express boy knocked at the door, he joked, "Did you buy a box of iron plates?". I checked that the gross weight on the lower packing box was marked as 14.7KG, and during the logistics transportation, a pile of things were wrapped on the outer package, the weight directly exceeded 15KG, which really hard to express.

Each corner of the packing case is wrapped with corrugated paper stiffeners, and the surface is also wrapped with protective film and nylon straps. Therefore, after unpacking, the outer package of the case is sharp and pleasing to the eye.

When unpacking the outer package, there are printing precautions on the inner page. Since the top cover is detachable design, it is not allowed to directly grab the top cover to take the machine. The stress point should be placed at the bottom of the case, and attention should also be paid to later case handling. In other words, the case with portable design has more advantages in mobile.

In order to facilitate the user to take out the new chassis, Cool Cool Supreme also specially equipped a handbag for the user, which is very huge. We recommend that you do not throw it away. It can be used in many places at home.

The accessory box is independent and placed on the top of the packing box. The logo of the Accessory Box on the side of the box is also very eye-catching. The black box and the Cool Cool Ultimate logo are very cool.

Along with the accessory box is our product manual, which is very easy to understand. Before installation, you can quickly browse it. Open the accessory box, we can see that all kinds of accessories are separately packed in different compartments, which is clear at a glance.

The accessories include a fan bracket, a bag of screws, a strap, and a power cord. In addition, because H500P uses a glass side plate, the manufacturer also prepared a special lens cloth.

Design

The H500P's most attractive feature is its front two 20cm RGB fans, which directly demonstrate what is domineering under the transparent front panel.

The control panel of the chassis is set at the forehead. If the chassis is placed on the floor, it will be very convenient to start and operate.

The front panel is installed by adsorption, so it is very convenient to remove. It can be opened by pulling outward with force. There is a 45 degree support foot at the bottom of the panel to easily maintain this angle, which is convenient for users to clean the front fan.

The top panel is opened towards the rear. It can be seen that the top panel and the front panel are both 3D three-dimensional designs. Since it is a whole panel, the air inlet is sucked into the chassis from the side of the panel. It can be seen that dust screens are installed at all air inlet positions.

The installation and removal design of this fully transparent glass side panel is very humanized. All operations can be easily opened with a one yuan coin with only one screw and tool.

From the inside, it is not a common screw design. It is a bayonet design, and the panel can be removed or locked by turning the device 90 °.

The other half of the side panel is fixed by traditional screws, and the upper and lower two tool free screws can be directly operated by hand.

However, different from the general design, this screw can be directly hung on the panel without being completely removed to avoid the dilemma of looking everywhere after falling.

After removing the metal side panel on the right side of the chassis, we can see that the design here is very interesting. Almost all positions are equipped with a whole piece of cover plate armor, which can make wiring easier and visual integrity stronger. I believe that obsessive-compulsive patients should raise their feet to praise.

First, take a look at the cover where the CPU fan is installed. First, the hole size is very large. From the side view, it can be seen that the bulge of this cover plate is very obvious. These designs reserve enough space for users to install the super large CPU fan base. If the player wants to change the CPU cooling device in the later stage, it is also very convenient, and there is no need to remove the motherboard.

This baffle with the largest area is fixed with standard screws. Let's take it apart to see what's inside.

After removing the fixing screws, the cover plate can be opened and closed like a door at an angle of 0-120 °.

From this point of view, the cover plate is also a convex design with a large capacity.

The harness of the chassis is basically stored here.

It can be found that there are still many cables in the chassis. Let's take it apart.

The thickest one is the standard chassis control panel data cable, power restart, front USB, HD light, etc.

This group of data cables extends from the top chassis panel, and the manufacturer has directly taken the back line.

The other group of data cables is our front RGB fan. The figure above shows the power cable of the fan.

Since the H500P chassis uses the RGB fan with SYNC interface, the manufacturer has not yet configured a 1:3 adapter cable.

When installing, pay attention to the arrow mark of the adapter cable, which should be aligned with the arrow mark of the fan.

Corresponding to the position of the cover plate, there is also a cover plate on the inner side of the chassis, which is also a convex design to facilitate the user to store the wires on this side.

The cover plate can be removed by removing the fixing screws on the back.

After removing the cover plate, it is very intuitive to find that the CD drive position has been completely canceled by the designer, and there is no reserved installation position.

On the top of the power compartment, there are two SSD mounting positions, tool free screws, and the same anti loss design.

The front and rear cover plates of the power cabin are designed separately, and the front half cover plate can slide forward and backward.

Open the front compartment cover, you can see two mechanical hard disk bits.

Tool free installation of auxiliary drawer board will be described in detail later.

The power supply compartment cover cannot be removed directly. You need to remove the two rear fixing screws first.

Take a look at the bottom of the chassis. The H500P is equipped with four support legs. The height is about 4CM, which can ensure the heat dissipation of the power supply. The bottom of the support leg is equipped with a large area of anti slip strips, which can further reduce vibration and noise, and improve stability. From the design point of view, these four support legs can also be removed, but several fixing screws are hidden inside the skid strip, so I will skip it here.

There is a removable dust-proof net at the bottom of the power compartment, which is convenient for users to quickly clean the dust after a long time of use.

Next, I will not introduce the disassembly of the chassis panel and fan. It took me about one hour to complete the disassembly of this chassis. It can be seen that the modular design of the H500P is very thorough. There is only one chassis frame structure left. All important components can be disassembled, and the playability is very strong.

The front 20cm large mute RGB fan and the rear 14cm fan are actually large enough, but they look mini when put together.

The single front fan weighs 250g. From the interface, SYNC and power supply are separate.

The specific model is MF200R RGB, MADE IN CHINA， If sold separately in the future, the price is expected to be high.

The rear 14CM fan weighs 138g. It is an ordinary cooling fan and only provides a power cord. Cool Cool is not very generous here. If you want to build a full RGB chassis, you need to pay extra.

With all kinds of external armor removed, the H500P with internal armor looks very strong.

I measured the thickness of the steel plate with a ruler, which is just 1mm.

All frames have crimping design to increase the strength of the chassis. Rivets and reinforcements are also used in the joint position.

I used an electronic scale to measure the weight of the chassis skeleton, which reached 3.33KG. The material used for Cool Cool is really unambiguous.

Let's take a brief look at the details of the skeleton. There are two wiring holes on the right beam at the top. The holes near the forehead are occupied by the chassis panel. The middle hole is convenient for users to pre install the top radiator.

As it is a mid tower chassis, the mounting holes of the main board of the H500 are all sizes. It has two copper pillars. The corresponding copper pillars are installed through accessories, ranging from E-ATX to mini ITX.

The three main trunkings are installed with silicone sleeves to avoid abrasion of power lines and data lines. It is commendable that the edges of these notches have been folded, and the silicone sleeve can firmly bite the steel plate, without the problem of falling off at a touch.

There are 4 support feet at the bottom where the power supply is installed, and rubber pads are installed to help the power supply shock absorption.

In addition to fixing 20cm screw holes on the front of the chassis, the manufacturer also designs three 12/14cm fan brackets for users, which can be DIY by themselves, and do not conflict with the original 20cm fan, that is, up to 5 fans can be installed on the front.

The fan position on the back of the chassis uses a multi size fan bracket design. It can also use a 12/14cm multi size cooling fan. The adjustable range of the upper and lower heights is considerable, which is convenient for users to upgrade DIY by themselves.

The top is the same 12/14cm take all, but from the design of the reserved hole for wiring, it should be reserved for integrated water cooling. If I install three 12cm fans like this, it is obvious that the power cable is not long enough, and an extension cable is needed.

There are 7 vertical PCI blanks and 2 horizontal PCI blanks on the back of the chassis. You can highlight the graphics card by purchasing the graphics card bracket and PCI adapter cable. The width of the fuselage is amazing, just the skeleton reaches 23cm.

Due to the bottom design of the hard disk rack, there is no need to worry about the long video card. The maximum 40CM is sufficient.

install equipment

It can be seen that the power supply is empty after installation. It is not only far from the ground, but also far away from the dust-proof net. There is less chance of dust entering the power supply.

The height of the fan has reached an amazing 20cm, so don't worry about all kinds of Big Macs. They can fit all of them.

The tool free HDD bracket uses glue nails. It is very convenient to pull it open and fasten the hard disk. However, it's a bit hard in winter, and it's hard to pull.

Although dual hard disk is the mainstream configuration now, as a full-size mid tower chassis, it is still a bit of a dream.

Push the hard disk fixed with the drawer rack into the disk cage and close the door.

The SSD can be directly inserted into the base, but I suggest you use screws to fix it, otherwise it will be too loose.

Fix the four corners with round screws.

The power cable and data cable of the SSD should be plugged first and then fixed. The reverse operation will be very troublesome. There is a cable hole on the top of the power compartment, which can be used by everyone.

I wanted to be lazy for the first time, but the H500P was still in color. How to say, the cover plate for storing the wire harness is not omnipotent. It is too thick and messy to be eaten. If it is not the customized assembly line, but the "large intestine" like me, the cover plate will not be covered after the back line is taken.

Is this much better? If you remove the 24PIN power cord, the cover plate will be covered immediately. Is it refreshing in an instant.

I pulled the 24PIN of the power supply to the front. I was worried that it was too ugly, but I found that the cover on this side could also hold the harness. I plugged the extra power cord into the cover, which was not too ugly.

Lamp efficiency

The HP500P provides a very clean chassis environment, and there is no preset too much light pollution in the Cool Cool Supreme. Players can design it by themselves. Although the power compartment design is used at the bottom, the space on the right side is still very large due to the cancellation of the optical disk drive, so there is no problem with what to do.

Through the built-in 1 to 3 RGB splitter, I connected the CPU radiator and the cabinet RGB fan together. Because they are cool products, the synchronization rate is excellent.

I forgot to say that the power button will have a circle of white light after starting.

This fan still has seven colors of light. Because I use Huaqing motherboard, it can easily set the light effect by installing ASRock RGB LED control software.

performance

In terms of heat dissipation, although the two main chassis fans are only 800 RPM, the air volume is very large. Here, I will simply test the help of turning off/on the chassis fan to the chassis heat dissipation through a thermometer. The indoor temperature during the test is 18 ℃.

The fan speed can also be easily set through the ASRock extreme tuning utility software.

In terms of noise, at the maximum speed, the chassis fan reached about 890RPM, at which time the wind noise was more obvious, reaching 64db. At the minimum speed, due to software problems, the speed of the chassis fan was not accurately identified, but still displayed 890 RPM. I skipped it temporarily, and the noise record was reduced to 52 db (remove the left glass panel, and use Meizu built-in noise tester to test against the fan).

other

The H500P is more suitable for use under the table. The standard 75cm high desk is 66cm high after removing the drawers, while the measured height of the case is 55cm.

If it is placed on the desktop, the top button and USB interface cannot be seen when sitting, so you need to stand up. Also, because the top cover is made of plastic, it can not be used to load heavy objects. If I am used to stacking heavy objects on the chassis, I need to pay attention to the heavy problem.

summary

The design of the H500P is the most commendable part. The overall appearance is very impressive. The overall modular of the chassis is very thorough, and the materials are also quite thick. The process is more refined. Especially the design of various internal and external armors makes it easier to lead the wiring of the chassis, cleaner, and highly playable. Visually, the glass side panel, front panel and overhead panel, together with the 20cm front RBG fan, are very eye-catching, and the SYNC control light effect is also quite cool. However, I think there is one thing that needs to be improved in the light efficiency aspect of Cool Cool Supreme, that is, only a simple 1:3 light efficiency control line is configured when it leaves the factory, which makes me feel a bit depressed. After all, the motherboard only has one RGB control interface, two front RGB fans, and one CPU fan takes up all the interfaces. If you want to add more RGB devices, you must purchase hubs at your own expense.
