Comprehensively show you: Cool Cool T610P RGB radiator

(Install video and Mystic Light at the end of the article)

Different preface:

I am Breaking Dawn, an anatomical evaluator.

I hope this is the best evaluation of the Cool Cool Supreme T610P air-cooled radiator. This "best" is my wish, of course, I am willing to do so.

Little gossip. The introduction of Taiwan's mechanical and electrical brand Kuleng Zhizun is also not mentioned here. I believe you don't want to waste time here. I hope you can understand a complete T610P after reading this article.

Why is there a T610P? Answer: Because Kuleng really needs it.

Because I am interested in the radiator field, I have made a horizontal review before, but when choosing PK competitors, Kuleng will appear strange, because in the current air-cooled radiator field, Kuleng lacks an important puzzle:

The T610P of 299 yuan is a strategic supplement to Kuleng

In the field of mid end radiators, the price sensitivity of consumers is 50~70 yuan, but the cool air-cooled product line has been directly upgraded from ¥ 199 to ¥ 499, resulting in a considerable span. This status quo cannot be sustained all the time, and Kuleng will be very passive if it can't get competitive products at this price.

Therefore, the emergence of T610P at the price of 300 yuan is inevitable. The key is what kind of product Kuleng wants to use to make up for the lack of product line.

In my opinion, the launch of a new product, especially a mature brand like Cool Cold, must have its own deeper consideration. However, as a reviewer, I hope to help readers find the specific positioning of this radiator. After all, consumers care about whether the product is worthy of its price.

This time, I will use the cool cold T400i with a normal price of 99 yuan as the reference system for auxiliary testing. Compare from temperature, noise, etc. Compared with CPU and graphics card, heat sink has always been a despised field. I hope to treat it as seriously as graphics card.

As an effective product rather than an ornament, if there is no reference system, the evaluation itself will lose its reference significance.

Kuleng T400 is also one of the cheap magic weapons

T610P appearance and details:

First of all, it is worth mentioning that Kuleng's official position of T610P is  MasterAir Maker 8 3DVC (Flagship air-cooled) simplified version. Therefore, it is normal for many players to see T610P and feel deja vu.

In addition, T610P not only simplifies the former, but also adds the RGB adjustment function that MasterAir Maker 8 does not have. Because it supports AURA and other mainboard light controllers, the new T610P may be more attractive to players who like light pollution.

From ¥ 699 to ¥ 299, to some extent, it can be seen that Kuleng came with sincerity this time.

As a single tower double fan radiator, T610P has one obvious difference from other double fans: appearance Stronger sense of integration

Referring to the picture of the opening part of Cool T400 Pro, we can see that the top cover and fan frame of most dual fan tower radiators are completely different at present. It belongs to two parts. Some people will say that this is intentional. Of course, the reason for seeking truth from facts here is more cost saving. Because the independent fan only needs to select the existing finished products, and the top cover only needs to have an independent production line, which saves the cost of making a mold for the fan alone.

The T610P needs to re design a separate injection mold for the fan and the top cover.

Thanks to the treatment of the junction between the fan frame and the top cover, and the overall design style of highlighting the edges, the T610P has realized the visual integration of the radiator.

This is not perfect, because it will bring a problem: Fan compatibility

Based on my understanding of the radiator market, many DIY players will actively replace their radiator fans (cool air is acceptable, especially water cooling). This poses a new challenge to Cool Cool: your fan must be good enough at one time so that people can't afford to change it, otherwise this product will fail.

Fortunately, fans have always been the traditional strength of Cool Cool. As for the effect, we will leave it to the following details.

Let's talk about the efforts made by this radiator in terms of visual effects:

The frame of T610P fan is circular arc, but when passing through the top cover, it is designed as a whole slope. A prismatic line is centered and crosses the cool LOGO. This dividing line is located at the highest point of the radiator, dividing the whole top cover into two parts, which makes the product very like a weapon while highlighting the three-dimensional sense: Cross shield I believe that those who have seen the Goddard series will not be unfamiliar. Objectively speaking, it is not amazing, but it is endurable enough.

T610P is an RGB radiator. Here I will introduce its light transmission position in detail:

  1. Two 12cm RGB fans, with four LED light beads in the fan bearing, make the translucent fan transform RGB light effect through light guide.

  2. Four oblique light guide bands around the top cover are located at the edge of the "cross shield".

  3. A circle of hexagonal light guide on the edge of the cool LOGO in the center of the top cover.

Here I also found a disadvantage of T610P, that is, most people prefer that the logo is transparent, especially for the brand Kuleng, which has a good reputation. I think that LOGO light transmission can be achieved through two-color molding, and there is no technical bottleneck. However, after careful consideration, I also found another possibility: in such a small area, if all 12 characters are transparent, it is likely to produce light spots, making the specific characters of the LOGO ambiguous. So I'm not critical here.

When you remove the top cover, you can see a clean diffuser, which is really very clean.

Careful people will find that there are two sealing methods for six heat pipes, one is very sharp, and the other is relatively round. This is due to the need of the working principle of the heat pipe. There is coolant inside the heat pipe, which is always in the process of liquefaction, vaporization and liquefaction. One end is the evaporation end, and the other end is the condensation end.

There is a green PCB under the soft light board. In fact, it is not necessary to make such a large area of PCB in theory, but because several patch LEDs are scattered, it is inevitable to increase the area of the circuit board.

Someone must be curious about why the top cover was designed to be slightly convex, forcing the height of the radiator to increase (166.5mm). Here is an example: the chassis of Kyushu Fengshen Duke has a radiator height limit of 160mm; Earl's RGB chassis is 165mm and T610P are both super high in theory. I just give two examples and have not actually tested them.

In fact, it is a little difficult to install T601P into some mainstream middle tower chassis. When selecting a radiator, it is better to review the parameters of the chassis, and do not force a face to face.

Now let's assume a scenario: the user is sitting on a chair beside the table, and the RGB chassis is generally placed on the table, that is, at the upper right corner. The tilted top cover design will mask the originally narrow light band and the visible area will be smaller. Such measures to reduce the visible area and slightly exceed the outline height are the shortcomings of T610P design.

So why does Kuleng design this way? Head iron? Is it really necessary to use the top cover as a "cross shield"? When the bevel is used for blocking, it can reduce the impact of sharp weapons. The cross design can not only reduce the weight of the shield, but also use edges and corners for blunt attack—— Of course not!

After thinking about this problem carefully, I came up with a possible reason:

Cooling fan.

Before we talk about this, the first data is: How much does Cool Cool support AURA fans generally cost? Answer: 89 yuan.

Have you ever felt that this radiator is very valuable?

The field of cooling fan has always been a typical example of low threshold and high peak. There is not much that can be really done well, and Kuleng is just one of the enterprises with deep foundation.

Cushioning rubber pad is needless to say. The center of the fan is a bearing, and there are four LED lights inside. In order to guide light, the fan blades are made of transparent plastic. However, in order to make the light not dazzling and achieve a soft and even effect, Kuleng has sanded the transparent fan (actually, it is sun drying). In this way, there will be no glare when the light passes through the fan leaf. This is an idea that has taken much thought.

I have thought before that if the fan frame is completely produced by one mold, will the cost be too high. Think about it carefully I don't think so. After my disassembly, I found that there was something different: the fan was divided into an inner frame and an outer frame.

If you know about the cool cold T400, you can know that the fan fixed frame and 12cm are also separated, but it is a 12cm ordinary fan (square frame) with two hooks, but it is not the case in the T610P. In order to achieve a relatively ideal visual effect, the basic frame of the fan is made into a circle and nested with the outer frame.

Therefore, it is very likely that this fan is only equipped exclusively for T610. Here I get two signals:

  1. Kuleng has created two exclusive accessories for the T610P. It can be seen that Kuleng still has confidence in the T610P.

  2. Kuleng also has confidence in the quality of fans.

The resulting problem is: if the two frames are combined, will the fan generate additional vibration during operation?

See how the cool cold is solved:

Each corner is fixed by one barb buckle and three fixing columns. This structure directly causes me to spend a lot of time in disassembly, so I will try to eliminate additional vibration during operation. It is very reliable in stability.

Since I didn't promote a wave of brands according to international practices, I will use this detail to show the brand of Cool Cool Supreme.

See the certification mark of the fan sticker below?

They are:

Here I just say T ∨ V S ∨ D (there is a SUD under the TUV on the sticker). South Deutsche Group is the largest and oldest technology inspection agency in the world, with a revenue of 2 billion dollars in 2013. Its certification is very convincing.

This is only an original fan. Because Kuleng is an international brand, and its products will be sold to different countries and regions, it is necessary to carry out multiple quality certifications for its products. Sometimes even a little detail can appear domineering.

If you think it's nothing, you might as well take out a cooling fan beside you as a comparison to see what quality certification is available.

Next is one of the highlights of this evaluation: cooling tower

Speaking of the two main components of the radiator: the cooling tower and the fan.

Heat pipe, fin and base belong to the category of cooling tower. According to other evaluation data (not what I found), the heat dissipation area of this T610P is 6900+cm ². Here I give a reference value: the heat dissipation area of Jiuzhou Fengshen Dashuang Tower is 7700 cm ². Although the structure of double tower is different from that of single tower, I am satisfied with the heat dissipation area of T610P. It can be said that it has been equipped with an excellent radiator foundation

Readers will also wonder why both sides of the radiator should be slightly concave. If they are not concave, they can gain more heat dissipation area? In fact, this V-shaped structure is to prevent the fan bearing from being too close to the high-temperature fin, which will reduce the service life of the fan.

As we all know, fins are used for heat exchange with the outside world, and sometimes the temperature will reach a relatively high value. The cooling tower has added this depression, which can effectively keep the distance between the bearing and fins. It is necessary to "calm down".

Next, I have to explore the process of Cool Cool T610P.

I have observed carefully for a long time (in fact, it won't last long). The combination mode of this radiator fin and heat pipe is: Wear Fin In short, the heat pipe passes through the holes between fins. In addition to wearing Fin, what other processes are there? Answer: Reflow soldering . Welding heat pipe and fin together is more costly and theoretically more reliable after a long time. Because the contact between the heat pipe and the fin depends on the tightness of the mold design, Fin fastening will last for a long time due to various stresses, right? But don't be too disappointed. If the Fin wearing process is solid, the use effect will not be inferior to that of reflow soldering. In addition, the first domestic radiator using the reflow process is the overclock Sandonghai 6, which has already stopped production.

Let's talk about the process of fin edge.

Some people will surely ask why the radiator with a slightly decent appearance should be "hemmed" around. Answer: In order to form a smoother air duct, increase the air pressure. A closed pipe must ventilate more smoothly than a pipe that leaks everywhere, right. There are generally two processes for fin edge:

  1. Deduct Fin

  2. Convert to Fin

It should be clear at a glance whether this radiator uses the folding fin or the fastening fin: Convert to Fin In theory, the discount of Fin is not as beautiful as the deduction of Fin, but I have no objection to the use of the discount of Cool Cool, Because: the fan frame covers all the edges! The process at the edge of Yince is of little significance.

However, no matter how many details are mentioned, it is ultimately to serve the cooling effect. In my previous tests, the specifications were close, the process was different, and reflow soldering+Fin deduction was used. Compared with the efficiency of wearing Fin+Fin folding, the situation that there was no advantage often occurred, and slapped face.

Six 6mm heat pipes can be said to be the standard configuration at this price. Unfortunately, there is no nickel plating. The function of nickel plating is mainly to resist oxidation. Different people have different opinions on beauty. There are certainly many people who like bronze. As for the problem that many people say that nickel plating will affect heat conduction, in fact, the nickel plating layer is very thin, which will not affect heat dissipation.

From here, we can see that the channel inside the fin of the radiator is dug out to cross the line, which is the light control line connecting the top cover PCB board to the fan. There are two on the left and right, which reduces the area of fins to a certain extent, but there is no better plan for beauty.

T610P adopts the way of direct contact of heat pipe, which simply means that a knife is neatly milled on the heat pipe. When the direct contact technology of heat pipe was first made by the third overclock, it was very popular. The reason was obvious: The medium is reduced and the heat pipe directly contacts the heat source, so the heat dissipation effect will be good.

However, this process is almost extinct in the current high-end radiator field.

There are two reasons:

1. Insufficient hardness. How thick is the outer wall of 6mm heat pipe? How much is left after milling? It is easily subjected to stress and external force to cause notch depression.

2. The connection is not tight. There is a difference between the specific heat and expansion coefficient of the straight white dot copper tube and the aluminum base. You can understand it after a long time (as for the specific length, I don't know).

Don't throw away bricks. In this world, there are always accidents. Here is a well-known example of ASUS:

Direct contact technology of DirectCU heat pipe

It is true that this technology has made ASUS famous for so many years, and ASUS's top graphics card will even focus on the logo: this card uses our exclusive DirectCU heat pipe direct contact technology!

Asustek can overcome the problem of being cold, but there is no pressure. It is nothing more than using oxygen free copper to increase hardness and make thick inner wall. From the publicity of Cool Cold, the direct contact of Cool Cold's heat pipe should also be an improved process. So I don't think this is a defect, but I like to make it clear.

It's just that the appearance is really not so beautiful.

AMD's fastener selection and installation methods are shown here. If you want to see the specific installation steps, it is strongly recommended to go to the end of the article.

Heat dissipation test:

Yinai machine was borrowed by a friend to run GTX1070Ti to compare the performance of AI platform. Here we use Ernai machine to complete the test.

The CPU selected is RYZEN R5 1600. The six physical cores cooperate with 12 threads, which makes excellent performance in multithreading. With good cost performance, it can be said that AMD has handed in a great answer this year. The advantage is that the performance of the B350 is the same as that of the R5 1600X in the case of the same frequency, and the B350 is also easy to use to exceed 1600. I don't need to say much, thank the massage shop.

The video card tested is MSI GTX1070 8GB Red Dragon. A typical product whose real object is much more beautiful than the photo. The 10cm fan × 2 used by Honglong  , Compared with the cooling structure of some 8cm × 3 fans, the cooling effect is not bad, but the design difference of the radiator is one wide and one long.

The back plate is a dragon scale structure, and a black dragon looms. There is not much sense of science and technology, but there is a kind of wild and primitive atmosphere.

The power supply used is Gujia GX600, 80PLUS gold certification, and the material used should be one of the high-end products with 600W power. Made by Taiwan Weixun, half module design, extremely heavy. The only disadvantage is that production may/may have stopped? 2333。

MSI B350 PC MATE is selected as the motherboard. I have used seven or eight motherboards of B350 chipset. In general, MSI performs best. It is worth mentioning that although this PC MATE has a bit of commercial color in its positioning, it is actually not profitable at all. In particular, MSI has lowered the MYSTIC LIGHT to each motherboard of the B350. Those who like to play with lights may consider this generation of MSI motherboards. (This is not AD, no matter how stupid I am, I will not take out a piece of PC MATE to advertise for you. Isn't CARBON good? No matter how bad it is, it will be a silver snake.)

The memory is the Ten Ambers Hell God DDR4, which is amazing. I won't say much about it here. It's a good thing for civilians.

All angles of the radiator after installation:

No lights on, looks like a volleyball

RGB effect picture demonstration: video after text

If your motherboard does not support RGB control, use the built-in light controller to adjust. When installing, just hang the controller on the back panel of the chassis. It's the place where the HDMI cable is plugged into the graphics card. It's unnecessary to open the cover just once with a different light (I'm not joking, because many people do that, silly and cute).

The following diagram is my self-made wiring diagram, which may be better than the manual:

The first is to show the effect of the light controller on the bare platform

The T610P supports seven color switching when not connected to the motherboard.

There are five levels of brightness adjustment. If you are in a dark environment, it is recommended that the radiator lamp not be turned on too bright to affect the viewing effect.

There are few dynamic modes, such as single flash and double flash, I think the built-in light effect is not very playable.

The reason is that it is impossible to play a particularly expensive routine just by the four LED lamp beads in the bearing.

But don't get excited! After all, it supports AURA and MYSTIC LIGHT! Updating firmware is not as fancy as updating MYSTIC LIGHT.

T400 PK  T610P

Room temperature 23 ℃

Room ambient noise 45.5dBA

T610P, It's really embarrassing. It's a little lower. In fact, the slight fluctuation on the decibel meter's number is normal, which is a kind of evidence that the T610's voice is extremely weak when it is in standby.

Whole machine power consumption under single baking FPU: 184W

Don't be confused by the official figure of R5 1600 TDP 65W. Its power consumption is relatively high after exceeding the standard. The voltage can reach 150W when pulled, which is the highest TDP that many radiators can suppress.

The test result of T610P pressing R5 1600 4.0GHz 1.41V single baking FPU is 59.38 ℃.

It is worth mentioning that the nominal maximum of this fan is 1800 RPM, which may be because my face is too strange, and the maximum is 1650 RPM. You can see the speed information from DIDA64 on the far left of the screenshot.

Fan noise under full load: 57.9dBA

Next, we tested the baking machine with the cool 100 yuan benchmark cold air: T400i: the power consumption of the whole machine was 172W, which was basically within the normal range.

It is still 4.0GHz 1.41V.

T400 pressure R5 1600 4.0GHz 1.41V single baking FPU test result: 73.13 ℃

73.3℃→59.38℃

What does this mean: PK's ultimate heat dissipation capacity, T610P, can lift 100 yuan of air cooling and thump ruthlessly.

This gap is really too big. It can help the T610P take off the hat of model goods. here The measured decibel is 55.6dBA, which is lighter than the former. Could it be the relationship between two fans? The actual experience is not obvious.

Installation effect:

This installation uses the Tailor 416P tempered glass mute chassis:

In the actual installation, the radiator did not affect the vest strip. This is due to the fact that many vest strips are designed with a concave middle, which can avoid the radiator fan.

It can be judged from the following figure that even if there is no depression in the middle of the Ten Ambers Hell God, there is no problem in the smooth installation (there is one in the video), so the 16.5cm height limit may also take care of the compatibility of some waistcoats.

Tempered glass cover plate, here I sincerely recommend the side plate to use glass, and don't use acrylic side plate until dozens of pieces.

At the moment of closing the cover plate, I was really a bit worried, until the tempered glass crossed the top of the top cover, and there was no sign of friction in my mind.

The height limit of this model is 165mm, and it is reasonable to be able to accommodate T610P. I wonder if 160mm can be covered. However, from another point of view, with the radiator supporting the AURA drive, the motherboard must be relatively new and belong to the enthusiast level, and the chassis will not shrink too much. From the perspective of target customers, 165mm is not a particularly difficult attribute for users.

Cover the glass and turn on the lamp effect. It can be seen that the LED light in the bearing in the photo is a bit overexposed. Of course, this has something to do with the shutter time, but generally speaking, overexposure does exist.

Is it possible to avoid such spots without exposure? yes. Because there is another top LED fan on the market at present, a circle of LED light bars is inserted into the fan frame, perhaps 18 lights or more. As for the light effect, it depends on how the master writes. This way must be more playable than the four LEDs of the bearing plug. What about Cool Cool? I understand everything. The fan quality may be really good, but the playability still needs to be developed (to put it bluntly, it is not very good).

At the moment of lighting up, all the questions in front were solved. The designs that can be understood or not are all designed to throb at the moment when the light is introduced into the eyes.

In general, this is a radiator with high appearance value - because its shape determines that it will not have the visual effect of traditional radiator that lets you see fins.

The almost all inclusive top cover+fan fastener enables the visual effect of the whole radiator to reach a harmonious unity, which is very compatible with the hardware in the chassis, It can be said that the feeling before the power is not connected is very different.

In the case, this radiator is the absolute visual center. It's a pity that the cool logo is barely recognizable.

The built-in RGB effect can already meet most needs.

Intuition center effect:

  1. First of all, how about the price performance of ¥ 299? I think it's OK. The current competitor is Qiao XX's honeycomb briquette, but it's not the same level as Kuleng's ability to move. But in the future, there will be more and more radiators supporting RGB on the motherboard. It can be said that it is not too late for Kuleng to take this step, but there must be competitors in the future. I gave 7.5 points out of 10, which is very high.

  2. As for the light effect, I'm not satisfied. The four LED lights in the bearing can play very limited. It's really not as effective as the light bar around the fan. But the competitors are no better, alas. What should be clear here is that in the eyes of real RGB players, the RGB heat sink is just a puzzle, not the whole box lighting. As for more playability, AURA and other drivers are still needed to improve it.

  3. In terms of performance, it is no exaggeration to say that the wind cooling of the hundred yuan level is not surprising, but it is good to be able to hang the title of being able to look good.

  4. The appearance is very suitable for the case of Kuleng Zhizun's own home, because there are many similarities in design language and style, especially with MasterCase Maker5t, which is a perfect match!

  5. Thanks for watching. The video is attached. The first one is Mystic Light. The second is the installation process.
