CPU heat sink should be so handsome and cool -- the evaluation of Cool Cool T610P
CPU heat sink should be so handsome and cool -- the evaluation of Cool Cool T610P

If you want to build a PC host full of sense of technology, this newly launched Cool Extreme T610P radiator can certainly help you. Compared with the common RGB light effect radiator, the T610P can obviously find the shadow of the cool cool flagship product MasterAir Maker 8 in appearance. The top armor with the integrated fan provides a three surround RGB light effect, which can make your chassis become high-end and handsome immediately. In terms of performance, the T610P equipped with 6 heat pipes, base heat pipe direct melting technology, dual 12CM fans and super large cooling tower can also ensure its excellent heat dissipation performance. The price of 299 yuan is definitely worth your money.

This time, I am honored to obtain the product evaluated from the trial platform of the computer maker. Let's take a look at its specific performance.

Mature design, rich accessories and excellent workmanship

Open the package, you can see that the huge cooling tower and fan are firmly locked in the foam protection box, and there is no need to worry about damage during transportation. Since there are many radiator parts, the manufacturer also specially provides them with independent packaging.

Since the T610P supports multiple platforms, the package provides two sets of fasteners, INTEL and AMD, which are very rich in accessories. You can quickly adapt your motherboard by adjusting the fasteners and screws on the backplane.

If you are overwhelmed by so many accessories, the manufacturer has also provided a very detailed product manual. Reading the manual carefully can help you get started quickly.

The overall size of the T610P is relatively large. Due to the addition of top armor, I measured the specific parameters of about 130 * 112 * 165.5mm. Players with small cases need to consider at their discretion, otherwise they will be embarrassed if they cannot cover the side panel of the case.

The main body of the radiator consists of a cooling tower, top armor, and two 12cm fans. The top armor also supports RGB light effect, and the unique cutting lines with the logo of CoolerMaster are particularly attractive.

The cooling fan adopts a new armored clip design. Compared with those traditional fan clips, it is much easier to disassemble and assemble the fan. In addition, the fan can be disassembled from the armored clip independently, so that you can replace the fan in the future without worry.

In terms of parameters, this MasterFan 120 AB fan is designed with 9 blades, supports 16.7 million color RBG light effects, can adjust the speed within the range of 600-1800 RPM, and provides the maximum air volume of 53.38 CFM+/- 10%. Four buffer gaskets are also installed at the four corners of the armored fastener, which can provide a certain buffer to avoid resonance noise. Two buckles are also arranged on the top of the fastener, which is used to fix the armor on the top of the cooling tower. Pay attention to the direction when installing.

The design of the cooling tower is standard, and the base adopts concave and convex fence design, which increases the heat dissipation area and can play an auxiliary role in heat dissipation.

The thickness of each fin is 0.4mm, and the spacing is 2mm. The copper tube is combined with the aluminum fin by passing through Fin. It is worth mentioning that the manufacturer has passivated the fins, and pressing hard will not cause a cutting feeling, so you can get a more friendly installation experience.

Six U-shaped pure copper heat pipes with a diameter of 6mm are equipped, and the bending is very natural.

The base uses the heat pipe direct contact 2.0 technology (CDC2.0). The flatness of the copper pipe and the base after fusion is fairly good, but the gap between the copper pipe and the copper pipe has obvious zigzag shape.

Since the top armor is difficult to remove, I used it directly for weighing. Sorry. As can be seen from the above figure, the weight of the cooling tower (including the top armor) has reached 598g, which is quite sufficient.

In terms of interfaces, T610P provides two 4PIN interfaces and one RGB SYNC interface. Since the top cover also supports RGB lighting, two RGB fans are connected in series with the top armor.

This is the RGB SYNC interface, through which the T610P can be adapted to the light effect control software of ASUS, Huaqing, MSI and Gigabyte, the four main board manufacturers. Of course, the manufacturer has also prepared a general controller for you, so you can use it with confidence even if your motherboard does not support SYNC interface.

Easy installation, but there is still room for improvement in details

Since I use the E3 V2+Huaqing B75 PRO3 - M platform, I will use this set of fasteners from INTEL for installation.

The backplane is universal for AMD/INTEL multi platform. You only need to adjust the screws and fasteners to the corresponding positions according to the platform you use. However, if you are a novice, you'd better install it according to the instructions. I personally suggest that the manufacturer can provide multiple baseplates in the future, otherwise it will be inconvenient to assemble a baseplate with so many parts.

The INTEL platform is composed of bent fasteners, which are fixed at the bottom of the cooling tower with screws, which is very convenient.

Since B75PRO3-M does not support the Huaqing RGB interface, I also need to install a general controller on the radiator. As you can see, this controller is powered independently through the D head.

During installation, the manufacturer also provides an internal hexagonal screw to help you fix the bottom plate.

Apply the complimentary silicone.

Remove the protective film from the base.

I wanted to be lazy and install the fan directly after installing it, but the fact is cruel. When installing, the cooling tower must be installed first and then the fan. The order cannot be disturbed.

With the use of new fan fasteners, it is easy to install the fan. You need to pay attention to the position of the top snap.

Connect the 1:2 power cord in the accessory to the CPU FAN port on the motherboard, and then connect the 4PIN port of the fan at will.

Seen from the top, the spacing between memory module locations is relatively tight, but the spacing between graphics card locations is very sufficient.

A tube of silica gel can be easily inserted, even if the graphics card is equipped with a thick backplane, it is not a problem.

A total of 3 entity keys are provided on the general controller, which correspond to the mode, color and brightness respectively. Because the harness is very long, players can easily route.

I used a harness to install the universal controller on the top of the chassis, so that the side panel of the chassis does not need to be opened frequently, and the light efficiency of the radiator can be quickly controlled by removing the dust cover.

Light efficiency, performance test and noise

After power on, the T610P gave a big surprise. The overall light effect can be said to be very beautiful. The dual RGB fans further rendered the overall atmosphere of the chassis, and the cutting line LED light on the top armor became the finishing touch, making the chassis suddenly cool.

The fan provides a circular light effect, which can illuminate the whole chassis and fully render the atmosphere.

The top LED light effect is the most amazing. Although it is just a few simple linear light effects, it does not bring great visual impact.

Especially after the side panel of the chassis is covered, the RBG light effect on the top of the chassis can be regarded as the finishing touch.

Through the super adjustment software of Huaqing, you can set 10 levels of fan speed changes, the lowest 966RPM and the highest 1726RPM.

Using Master Lu to carry out a simple CPU temperature and pressure test, we can see that the speed of the CPU fan will automatically adjust with the temperature rising. When the CPU core temperature exceeds 50 ℃, the speed of the cooling fan will also increase to 1730 RPM peak to improve the cooling effect.

At low speed, according to the test data of AIDA65, the temperature of E3 V2 CPU is suppressed at about 30 degrees. Compared with similar products, T610P performs well.

Use AIDA65 again to pressure test the CPU for 3 minutes.

It can be seen that the T610P suppresses the CPU temperature very obviously. The maximum temperature does not exceed 38 degrees, and the core temperature does not exceed 68 degrees.

Under normal circumstances, after the chassis fan is turned off, the noise detected in the chassis is 58db, which is higher than the official data of 31db. The wind can be heard but not very obvious. Considering the operating noise of the graphics card and the hard disk, this figure is acceptable. (The Meizu mobile phone built-in noise APP is used here for testing. If the data error is large, please forgive me.)

During the pressure test, the noise in the chassis soared to 65db. The CPU fan was very stable when running at high speed, without resonance, but the wind noise increased greatly, and the rapid wind sound could be heard clearly.

After the side panel of the chassis is covered, the noise is reduced to 56db, which is acceptable. Of course, if you are concerned about noise, I suggest you enter the BIOS and keep the fan speed at about 1K. Most mainstream CPUs can be perfectly suppressed at this speed (for reference only).

summary

The attraction of T610P is the visual impact brought by its three side RGB light effect design. Although only a few linear LED light slots are added to the top armor, they do add charm to the whole radiator. The handsome light effect of the radiator is really commendable when the chassis power is turned on.

The price of this radiator is 299 yuan, but in terms of the design and materials of the product itself, two 12CMRGB fans, one RGB armor on the top, one cooling tower weighing up to 500 grams, six copper tubes, the heat pipe direct fusion technology on the base, multi-functional controllers and many accessories, not to mention the value for money, at least they can afford the price.

In terms of performance, there is no doubt about the heat dissipation performance that everyone is concerned about. The single tower double fan structure, coupled with the 600-1800RPM fan with large air volume, can absolutely hold most CPUs. In terms of noise, my actual test results show that the noise is negligible when the fan is not running at full load. Of course, when the fan speed exceeds 1500RPM, the wind noise will increase significantly. But I believe that players can also carefully adjust the fan power according to their own needs to improve the impact of noise.

What needs to be improved:

1. The installation of the bottom plate is too complicated, 1155/1150/1151, AMD, The position of each screw needs to be precisely locked, which is very troublesome.

2. The problem is still with the backplane. For the Ark chassis I am using, the backplane of the T610P is too large, so I have to remove the motherboard to install it.

Thank you for reading my evaluation.
