According to foreign media, MediaTek will mass produce Helio X30 in the first quarter of 2017, and it will use 10nm production process. The Helio X30 of MediaTek is different from the X20 which adopts A72+A53. It will take the lead in using the latest Cortex-A35 core architecture. Helio X30 will be composed of two 2.8GHz A72 cores, four 2.2GHz A53 cores and four 2.0GHz A35 cores. It is also a SoC with a 10 core CPU. Although MediaTek also said that Helio X30 will be positioned at the high-end and benchmark Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon series, considering that Helio X30 only uses two A72 cores and the rest is 4 * A53+4 * A35, its performance can even be predicted.
In other aspects, the Helio X30 will use a 4-core PowerVR 7XT GPU, support LPDDR4 memory (X25 only supports LPDDR3), support UFS 2.1 and 3-carrier aggregation, and support full network communication of Cat.10-Cat.12.
