People in island countries: invention of wearable seats
People in island countries: invention of wearable seats

Japanese mold manufacturing company Nitto, design company Hiroaki Nishimura, technology company Polymer Technology and Chiba University jointly developed a special wearable device, Archelis, which is designed to help workers like doctors who need to stand for a long time to reduce fatigue.

Because medical personnel must keep standing for a long time, sometimes even for more than ten hours, when performing surgery, especially major surgery, this wearable chair is extremely important for them.

Archelis looks very similar to the athlete's protective gear. It supports the legs to stand through two brackets, and fixes the legs, waist and hips through straps. When sitting down, the bracket will provide support. Although it seems funny, the application space of Archelis is still very large. For example, when we don't have seats on the subway, bus or high-speed railway, it would be great if we could wear an Archelis on our legs.
