Volvo recently announced that from the spring of 2016, Microsoft Band 2 users will be able to use voice commands to control their vehicles through the Volvo On Call application, such as remotely opening the door, turning on the heater, setting navigation, honking the horn and flashing headlights.
The Microsoft Band 2 smart bracelet is an extension of the Apple Watch version and Android Wear version of the application, in which voice commands are added. Volvo and Microsoft have also cooperated before to bring an AR showroom demo for Microsoft's AR helmet.
The new Volvo cars compatible with Volvo On Call system include XC90 SUV and the upcoming S90 sedan.
At present, there are intelligent devices that can access Volvo On Call system and Apple Watch.
