On December 14, Apple began to push iOS 15.2 and watchOS 8.3 updates to its users. After this system update, the Apple Watch of the Bank of China (Apple Watch Series 4 and later models, excluding Apple Watch SE) launched the mobile ECG atrial fibrillation prompt software, which is the ECG function that many users have been waiting for.

Before using this function, you need to upgrade Apple Watch and iPhone to the latest version of the system, then open the health app on iPhone, click the "Browse" tab, go to "Heart", select "ECG", and then click Settings to set.

When recording the ECG, it is necessary to keep the back of the meter close to the wrist, open the mobile ECG atrial fibrillation prompt software on the Apple Watch, and then touch the crown of the digital meter with the other hand for about 30 seconds to wait for data reading; The software will divide the recorded data into four results: sinus rhythm, atrial fibrillation, high or low heart rate and uncertainty. All data, ECG waveforms, etc. will be stored in the iPhone Health App.

It is reported that the Apple Watch Series 4 released in 2018 officially supported the ECG function after the launch of watchOS 5.1.2 in December of the same year. However, the Bank of China did not pass the approval of the State Food and Drug Administration until June of this year, and was qualified to launch relevant functions. This wave of update is also regarded as adding value to the Apple Watch in the hands of domestic users.
