Recently, Apple has applied for a number of patents in succession, and many netizens have complained about this. But it is not just Apple that will apply for patents to protect its own interests. Recently, Korean manufacturer LG also registered a patent.
Now the size of smart phones is growing, especially Samsung Galaxy Note II and LG Optimus G Pro, which blur the boundaries between tablets and mobile phones. But the question is, is there a better way to provide more screen space without increasing the space occupied by the device? A three screen mobile phone patent recently unveiled is a solution that LG has come up with.
The device described in LG patent is shown in the figure. Basically, there are two small screens beside one main display screen, which can slide out when needed. The small screen will display options and controls, while the main LCD screen will focus on content display. Take the content shown in the figure for example, one side screen is used to display the thumbnail of the image library, while the main screen displays the content captured by the camera, while the other side screen will provide shooting control options.
Although it is a cool design, users need to use a lot of landscape mode to fully play the characteristics of this phone. In addition, LG will not necessarily bring this patent to the market.
