Editor's note: We often see that the SoC of mobile phones is A9, Krait, A15 and other cores. Consumers often only see the difference in the number of cores and frequency. What is the difference in their performance under the same frequency performance? Let's take a look through the actual measurement.

Test model:
Cotex-A7: U956 (quad core, 1.2GHz by default)
Cortex-A8: i9000 (single core, 1GHz by default)
CortexA9: NoteII (quad core, default 1.6GHz)
Cortex-A15: i9500 (4+4 cores, default 1.6GHz for A15 cores)
Krait200: Xperia Z (four cores, default 1.5GHz)
Krait300: Mi2S (quad core, default 1.7GHz)
Because A8 is a single core, the soft solution can't compare with the other four cores, Test results are all locked at 1GHz with setcpu
1080p AB OP soft solution (multi-core performance):
Average frames, A7 12.45 frames A9 18.16 Frame A15 25.2 Frame Krait200 16.88 Frame Krait300 17.7 frame
Sunspider 1.0 (Chrome, single core performance):
A7 1864ms A8 2580 ms A9 1525 ms A15 1088 ms Krait200 2096 ms Krait300 1750 Ms (the lower the score, the better)
Time taken for Zarchiver to compress 7z files (seconds): single core
A7 144s A8 173s A9 111s A15 85s Krait200 177s Krait 300 164s (The lower the score, the better)
GBA simulator frames (single core performance)
A7 46 frames (error in the diagram) A8 61 Frame A9 69 Frame A15 102 Frame Krait200 65 Frame Krait300 72 frame
To sum up: A15 stands out from the rest. A7 is not as bad as expected and is better than A8 in many cases. A9 is still a benchmark, and Krait300 performs fairly well.
Editor: I believe everyone will expect the strength of A15, but it is surprising that Cortex-A7 is even better than Krait 300 in some tests. Of course, let's not forget that the Krait 300 has a very high frequency, even the 1.9GHz APQ8064AB, so these same frequency performance gaps can only be used as a reference. In addition, the test here is just
