On November 8, vivo officially released the latest OriginOS 3 system. This year's core upgrade lies in fluency, background management, and small window enhancement. It has added new desktop components, desktop folder mode that can be clicked directly, and other functions.
An important change of OriginOS 3 in the bottom layer is the introduction of "unfair scheduling", which claims to tilt computing power to the foreground process and foreground dependent services, suppress the priority of system services and background processes, enable the foreground application to monopolize resources, prevent background applications from preempting, interrupting and blocking, and improve the smoothness of multi task scenarios.
In addition, OriginOS 3 has improved the scale of memory fusion. Previously, the memory fusion of 12G memory models was+4G, and now it is+8G. As a reference, for models with the same 12G memory, the MIUI memory fusion is+3G, and OPPO has 3G to 7G customized options.
However, as we all know, memory fusion is still a "black box", with different effects. The actual background application viability of the new system can only be confirmed after actual measurement.
In addition to staying in the background, vivo has also developed a "in situ revival mechanism", claiming that it can record the status of the application being cleaned, and can quickly return to the previous reading/video/page when it is opened again.
The mainstream memory specification of the Android camp has stayed between 8G and 12G for three years. The background will still be cleaned up when the camera, large games and other memory eating applications are turned on, or when the power-saving mode is triggered. For most users, the "In Place Resurrection Mechanism" may be more practical than the number of background applications.
