On the afternoon of December 16, MediaTek held the launch conference of Tianji's flagship strategy and new platform, officially releasing the new flagship platform Tianji 9000 to China.
The technical specifications of Tianji 9000 were all announced at the communication meeting last month. The platform adopts TSMC's 4nm process technology. The CPU part integrates one 3.05GHz X2 super core, three 2.85GHz A710 cores and four 1.8GHz A510 energy efficiency cores. It is equipped with 8MB three-level cache and 6MB system cache, and supports 7500Mbps rate LPDDR5X memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory.
Officially, the CPU performance and energy efficiency of a 2021 Android flagship (supposedly Snapdragon 888) increased by 35% and 37% respectively, while the "latest flagship competitor" (referring to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1) also exceeded 20% in the multi-core performance of GeekBench 5.
The GPU part uses ten core Mali-G710, which is 35% higher in performance and 60% higher in energy efficiency than the 2021 Android flagship. According to the official 15 minute continuous game test results, the 120 frame mode King Glory has an average of 119.2 frames, the 90 frame mode Peace Elite has an average of 89.3 frames, and the original God has an average of 59.1 frames.
Tianji 9000 is also equipped with an 18 bit three core ISP that can process 9 billion pixels per second. It supports up to 320 million pixel cameras and can process 18 bit HDR video; The built-in 5th generation APU has improved AI performance and energy efficiency by 4 times compared with the previous generation; It integrates M80 5G baseband, supports the latest R16 5G standard of 3GPP, and has a peak downlink rate of 7Gbps.
In other peripheral specifications, the screen supports up to WQHD+144Hz or FHD+180Hz, Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 6E 2 × 2 MIMO.
The main new information this time is to determine the first manufacturer. According to the latest information released by various manufacturers, the Tianji 9000 platform will be first launched by OPPO's new generation Find X series flagship, and will be used with the self developed Mariana X NPU (the performance of Save Fage's image is expected); Vivo also announced that it will "take the lead" in carrying the Tianji 9000 platform, which is expected to be used on the new generation of X series models; Redmi announced that it would be "the first" to carry Tianji 9000 on the K50 series.
In addition, MediaTek also disclosed at the press conference that it would soon launch a new sub flagship platform, Tianji 8000 (previously rumored to be called Tianji 7000), but did not disclose any specification information. It is rumored that TSMC will adopt the 5nm process, integrate four 2.75GHz A78 cores and four 2.0GHz A55 small cores, and use Mali-G510 MC6 GPU.
