On October 27, Qualcomm announced the launch of four new SoC products, including Snapdragon 778G+5G, Snapdragon 695 5G, Snapdragon 480+5G and Snapdragon 680 4G.
The name of Snapdragon 778G+shows that it is an upgraded version based on Snapdragon 778G, which adopts TSMC's 6nm process technology. The frequency of Kryo 670 CPU core based on A78 is increased from 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz, and the GPU is still Adreno 642L. Whether there is any increase in GPU frequency has not been mentioned officially; Integrated X53 5G baseband and FastConnect 6700 WiFi/Bluetooth subsystem, supporting WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
Snapdragon 695 is also built with 6nm technology, integrating 8 Kryo 660 CPU cores, the highest frequency is 2.2GHz, the GPU is Adreno 619, and the X51 5G baseband with a peak downlink rate of 2.5Gbps is integrated.
Snapdragon 480+is a small upgrade based on Snapdragon 480. It uses Samsung's 8nm process, eight core Kryo 460 CPU, two A76 based large core frequencies from 2.0GHz to 2.2GHz, and the GPU is Adreno 619, integrated with X51 5G baseband.
Although the Snapdragon 680 is a 4G SoC, it also uses a 6nm process technology. It integrates an eight core Kryo 265 CPU with a maximum frequency of 2.4GHz. The GPU uses Adreno 610, and its X11 LTE baseband peak downlink rate is 390Mbps.
Qualcomm officially said that the four new mobile platforms mentioned above are expected to be commercially available in the fourth quarter of this year. Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch models equipped with Snapdragon 778G+and Snapdragon 695, OPPO、vivo、 Glory and HMD (Nokia) will also bring related terminal models.
