On June 10, it was reported that Samsung today released a 50 million pixel image sensor ISOCELL JN1.
The ISOCELL JN1 sensor has a size of 1/2.76 inch and a single pixel size of only 0.64 μ m, which is the smallest single pixel size in Samsung's mass production CMOS. The official said that compared with the current sensor with a single pixel size of 0.7 μ m, the module thickness can be reduced by about 10%, which is conducive to reducing the convex degree of the lens module.
ISOCELL JN1 supports ISOCELL 2.0 technology, and supports four pixels to take 12.5 million pixel photos in one. At this time, the equivalent single pixel size is 1.28 μ m; Support Smart ISO and Double Super PD "dual super focus" technology; Video recording is supported up to 4K 60FPS or 1080P 240FPS.
Samsung said that ISOCELL JN1 has entered mass production. In addition to being used for standard wide-angle camera, this sensor is also suitable for ultra wide-angle camera, telephoto camera and front self timer camera. Of course, if domestic manufacturers use it, they will still use it to promote high pixel self timer.
