Recently, the 7-screen notebook of Expanscape UK, a British multi screen mobile device manufacturer, came into public view again. In fact, this Aurora 7 mobile workstation has been released since January 2020. It features 7 screens and a crazy 12kg specification.  

A look at the prototype of Aurora 7 shows that it is a "tool for martial artists". The body is very thick and the prototype uses a large number of 3D printing parts. 51 * 34 * 11cm, 12kg.

 

The screen of core selling points:

  • Four 17.3 inch 4K screens, 60Hz, can cover 100% Adobe RGB color gamut.

  • Three 7-inch 16:10 screens, 1920 * 1200, maximum brightness 450 nits, one of which is placed on the right side of the touch pad

  • In fact, the eighth screen, 1.44-inch 128 * 128, is placed in the upper left corner of the main screen

 

The main battery of Aurora 7 prototype is 82Wh, and the secondary battery is 148Wh, with 2 hours and 20 minutes of life. When it was released in January 2020, the original configuration was Intel's i9 9900K (8-core 16 thread) with GTX 1060 graphics card and 64GB 2666MHz DDR4 memory. Up to AMD R9 3950X or Intel i9-10900K are now available.

The dual M.2 and dual SATA ports are fully connected. The M.2 port is a 1TB+500GB M.2 MLC solid state, while the SATA port is a 1TB MLC solid state+2T mechanical hard disk.


Because it is still a prototype, the price has not been announced. But looking at the official picture, the four line task bar is still "crowded", which shows how busy the target users of this device are. With a 12kg body, they can still keep fit and perfect in their busy work.
