MediaTek's new mid and high-end SoC exposure: Super Snapdragon 865
MediaTek's new mid and high-end SoC exposure: Super Snapdragon 865

On November 30, it was reported that today, Anthare's official microblog reported that a test machine equipped with the new SoC of MediaTek was found in the background.

The SOC CPU of this new MediaTek uses four new A78 cores and four A55 cores. The maximum frequency of the core is 3.0GHz. The GPU uses the previous generation of ARM Mali-G77 architecture. The number of cores is unknown.

This test model scored 622409 points in the rabbit test, including 175351 points for CPU, 235175 points for GPU, 123535 points for MEM, and 88348 points for UX. The overall score is higher than that of OPPO Find X2 Pro (611419 points) equipped with Snapdragon 865. The CPU is slightly weaker, and the GPU is stronger, which is also higher than the Samsung Exynos 1080 released earlier. Of course, because it is not a mass production model, it cannot reflect the final strength performance of this SoC.

In addition, according to the blogger "Digital Chat Station", the SoC model of Anthare exposed this time is MT6793, which is a new generation of high-performance midrange SoC of MediaTek. It uses TSMC's 6nm process technology, and has one 3.0GHz A78 super core, three 2.6GHz A78 large cores and four 2.0GHz A55 small cores. It is integrated with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. Xiaomi, Huawei, OPPO, and vivo all have new machines equipped with this chip.

At present, it seems that Samsung and MediaTek have both come up with the strength to catch up with the new mid tier of Qualcomm's flagship. I wonder whether Qualcomm's 700 series chips will make a great leap forward this time.
