According to several foreign media reports, Google recently launched a function called Nearby Share in the beta version of Google Play service. After registering as a tester and installing the beta version of Google Play service, enable this function in the system. Click the share button to see the option of Nearby Share on the sharing page, and then you can share pictures, videos, URL links and other content to other nearby Android devices that have this function enabled.

What's better than AirDrops is that Nearby Share can set all devices to be visible, some devices to be visible or hidden according to user preferences, so that you won't be suddenly crammed with strange things by strangers nearby because AirDrop is not closed.

Google said this feature will support Android 6.0 and newer system devices. However, since this function is based on Google Play service, and the use of Google Play service in China is limited, Nearby Share may not be able to meet most domestic users in the future.

Domestic mobile phone manufacturers have previously established a mutual transmission alliance, and the current members are Xiaomi OPPO、vivo、 OnePlus, Black Shark, Realme and Meizu can achieve fast file transmission between cross brand models. However, this alliance led by mobile phone manufacturers is not as common as the underlying mechanism established by Google in terms of function universality after all.
