With the gradual shift of TV viewing content from traditional TV stations to Internet streaming media, various TV boxes and projection tools have become increasingly popular as multipliers to expand TV broadcast content. Yesterday (July 15), Xiaomi launched its Mi TV Stick to the overseas market.
The Xiaomi TV stick is essentially a mini TV box the size of a U disk. It is only 92.4 x 30.2 x 15.2mm in size and weighs 28.5g. The Xiaomi TV stick released this time only supports 1080P output, and only needs to be plugged into the HDMI interface of the TV when using it (there is also a Micro USB interface for power supply). Its processing chip integrates a quad core A53 CPU and Mali-450 GPU, 1GB RAM+8GB ROM, and supports dual band WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2.
The Xiaomi TV Stick is built with Android TV 9 operating system, and various TV AV APPs can be downloaded through Google Play; It supports DTS, Dolby sound effects, and Google's Chromecast projection function.
The attached remote control is similar to the previous Xiaomi TV and TV box, with shortcut buttons of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Google Assistant.
The price of Xiaomi TV stick is 39.99 euros (about 318 yuan). It is not clear whether it will be launched in China in the future.
