On December 5, it was reported that Qualcomm announced the detailed parameters of Snapdragon 865 today. This SoC is manufactured with a 7nm process. Compared with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, the performance of Kryo 585 CPU of Snapdragon 865 is improved by 25%, and the overall performance of Adreno 650 GPU is improved by 25%.

In terms of CPU, the Snapdragon 865 has one 2.84 GHz Kryo 585, three 2.4 GHz Kryo 585, which is customized based on Cortex-A77, and four 1.8 GHz Kryo 385 (customized based on Cortex-A55).

The new Adreno 650 GPU supports a QHD+144Hz screen (or UHD 60Hz), and the Spectra 480 ISP supports up to 200 million pixels of single camera, 720P 960 FPS of slow motion video capture.

The X55 baseband is a part of the entire platform, but it is not on the same chip as the Snapdragon 865. It needs to be used externally. In theory, the maximum download speed is 5G 7.5Gbps, 4G 2.5Gbps, and the uplink speed is 5G 3Gbps, 4G 316Mbps. In terms of 5G networks, the X55 supports independent networking (SA) and dependent networking (NSA), as well as sub-6 GHz and mmWave bands.

Snapdragon 865 has passed Wi Fi 6 certification and supports Bluetooth 5.1, aptX TWS, aptX Adaptive and aptX Voice. Hexagon 698 and the Hexagon Tensor Accelerator form the fifth generation of AI engine, which can achieve 15 trillion operations per second (15 TOPS), twice the previous generation.
