On November 26, it was reported that MediaTek launched its flagship SoC - Tianji 1000 (MT6889) this afternoon. Tianji is a new series of MediaTek, and Tianji 1000 is also MediaTek's first 5G SoC with integrated 5G modem.
The Tianji 1000 is manufactured with a 7nm process. Its CPU consists of four ARM Cortex-A77 2.6GHz and four ARM Cortex-A55 2.0GHz. The GPU contains nine ARM Mali-G77, with the main frequency of 836MHz. The independent AI processor APU is upgraded to 3.0, with 6 cores (2 large+3 small+1 micro), and the AI computing power is 4.5 TOPS. It is worth mentioning that the scores of several products of Tianji 1000 exceed those of the same level of products of friends and companies.
In terms of network, Tianji 1000 supports all generations of cellular network connections from 2G to 5G, and supports Sub-6GHz band SA/NSA. The downlink speed is up to 4.7Gbps, and the uplink speed is up to 2.5Gbps. The uplink and downlink speed is twice that of the products of friends. It is also the first chip in the world that supports 5G dual card dual standby, and supports 5G dual carrier aggregation (2CC CA) technology. Officially, it has the most power saving baseband in the world.
The Tianji 1000 is also the first 5G SoC integrated with Wi Fi 6, providing more than 1Gbps network throughput in both downlink and uplink speeds. In addition, it also supports Bluetooth 5.1+, dual band GNSS and the most satellite systems in the world.
Tianji 1000 has a new AI-ISP architecture and is equipped with the world's first five core image signal processor (ISP). It can support 80 million pixel sensor and multi camera combination at 24 frames per second, such as 32 million+16 million pixel dual camera. APU3.0 enables Tianji 1000 to support multi frame exposure 4K HDR video, as well as other AI camera functions, such as high dynamic range HDR, automatic white balance, noise reduction, etc.
This SoC also supports 120Hz FHD+screen and 90Hz 2K+screen, and supports 60 frames of Google AV1 format at 4K resolution, as well as HyperEngine 2.0 game optimization engine.
It is reported that MediaTek Tianji 1000 was mass produced in December this year, and the terminals using the SoC will be listed in the first quarter of next year.
