Due to the supply strategy of important parts resources, all product parts, including SSDs, are supplied from multiple sources. The SSDs equipped with the Xiaoxin Pro 13 (all versions) are mixed materials, including Samsung PM981a, Yilian AH530, and Western SSD. The above three SSDs all conform to the NVMe protocol PCIe x4 technical specifications. Before leaving the factory, SSDs have been tested on the overall performance of the machine and meet Lenovo's factory parameter requirements. The quality assurance is the same. In addition, there is no difference in the warranty policies of SSDs from different manufacturers. Please rest assured that you can use them. At present, Western SSDs do not support the real-time online function (always on always connected), so they are not imported in Xiaoxin Pro13.

The SSD write volume standard is endurance 512G 150TBW, 1T 300TBW。 TBW refers to 1024GB of Write, that is, W refers to the amount of write. Now Samsung, UMIS and other SSDs all meet this standard.

In general, SSD lifetime is expressed in terms of the amount of writes, because the amount of writes can be obtained through actual testing.

From the perspective of user usage, the average daily write amount of ordinary users is just a few gigabytes. When setting the spec, 512G and 150TBW can be used for about 8.4 years, 1T and 300TBW can be used for about 16.8 years according to the daily write amount of 50G.

Mixing materials for important parts is a common and necessary practice in the industry. For example, iPhone A9 processors have different versions. During production, the SSD is "what for what", and the brand and model used are not related to the batch configuration. We have not publicized that Pro 13 uses a single SSD material.
