May 1 Labor Day news. IDC released a report on the global smartphone market in the first quarter of 2019: the global total shipment volume was 310.8 million units, down 6.6% from 332.7 million units in the same period last year.

Samsung ranked first with 71.9 million units shipped, accounting for 23.1%; Huawei ranks second, with 59.1 million units shipped, accounting for 19.0%; The third Apple, with 36.4 million units shipped, accounting for 11.7%; The fourth place is Xiaomi, with 25 million units shipped, accounting for 8.0%; The fifth vivo, with 23.2 million units shipped, accounting for 7.5%; OPPO ranked fifth, with 23.1 million units shipped, accounting for 7.4%; Other brands shipped 72.1 million units in total, accounting for 23.2%.

IDC said that when two or more manufacturers share 0.1% or less of the global smartphone market revenue or shipments, a draw will occur. In the fourth quarter of last year, Apple still ranked second, but now it has been overtaken by Huawei. Compared with last year, Apple has dropped 30% year on year. It seems that Apple's sales have been very weak. Many people said that they prefer Huawei Mate 20 Pro or P30 Pro to iPhone XS series~
