Rare LCD

In terms of screen, Glory V20 is equipped with a 6.4 inch screen with a resolution of 2310x1080. What is more rare is the rare LCD screen. Robust performance

In terms of SoC, as the flagship product of glory, Kirin 980 with 7nm process is naturally adopted. This is the first SoC that adopts ARM Cortex-A76 architecture. When the light is sufficient and the magnification is the same, we can see that after the double zoom, the detail of the sample is much improved compared with the normal single shot. Various textures and characters are clearly visible, and the noise control is also satisfactory. The only defect is that the white balance is not as accurate as the normal single shot, but the picture looks good.


When switching to the night scene, the power of double zoom still cannot be underestimated, and the details and noise control are still improved compared with the ordinary single zoom. However, it is believed that everyone can see that the picture brightness of the sample is quite different. Because the IMX586 will be equivalent to 1.6um unit pixel area through 4 pixels in 1 when shooting with 12 million pixels, except for the scene like the second sample. Most of the time, the samples shot through the double zoom are closer to the real scene, but the normal shooting will be too bright.


If you turn on the night scene mode to shoot again, whether it is a single or double sample, the brightness of the picture will be higher than that of the normal shooting. Similar to the previous double zoom, the double zoom brings better detail performance, but it has the same discriminant power as the normal double zoom.

To summarize: The double zoom of Glory V20 can obtain samples with better details than normal shooting in the daytime or at night, with good usability; If the night view mode is turned on, the brightness of the picture can be improved again, but the details are almost the same. If it is unnecessary, it is unnecessary to turn it on.


48 million AI ultra clear

In terms of photography, another killer of Glory V20 is the 48 million AI ultra clear shooting mode added in the later system update. The official said that this mode is suitable for shooting still life and scenery with sufficient light, which requires a certain processing time (about 4s).

At first glance, the 48 million AI ultra clear shot sample is not very different from the normal 12 million shot, but each sample is more delicate in light processing, the overall restoration is good, the white balance is very close to the real scene, and more is a qualitative improvement.


As for details, it needs to be magnified to 2 or 3 times to see the obvious difference: 48 million AI ultra clear photography retains more elements, and 12 million ordinary samples have more smear marks, and the light and shadow processing is obviously much better.


Glory official only recommends to use 48 million AI ultra clear mode in sufficient light, but there is also some improvement in the actual use at night. For example, the noise control of the sky and the building surface is better after opening, and the details after zooming in also have certain advantages. If you don't mind waiting a little longer, you can get more beautiful photos through the 48 million AI ultra clear mode.

But after all, in the low light environment, the improvement will be higher if you switch to the night scene mode. Not only will the white balance be more accurate, close to the real scene, but also more details will be retained, especially in the dark.

At the same time, in the night environment where the light environment is more complex, the night scene model will perform better than ordinary photography and 48 million AI ultra clear photography. In this case, it is recommended to switch directly to the night view mode.


To sum up briefly, the IMX586 Glory V20 has taken a step ahead in terms of hardware quality, and the functions of double zoom, 48 million AI ultra clear, night view mode and so on can be said to be icing on the cake. Compared with the normal 12 million shots, it has different advantages. In actual use, it is recommended to switch 48 million AI ultra clear mode in a place with good light to obtain photos with better texture and appearance.
