Operating mode
First of all, it should be noted that Huawei Cloud PC is not the first time to appear on Huawei/Glory models. It has related functions as early as the launch of Mate10. Its implementation method is also different from Samsung's DeX or Hammer's TNT. It does not switch directly to the desktop mode to work, but connects to the remote Huawei Cloud Server through an app, Huawei ECS provides users with powerful cloud computers.
To put it simply, Huawei's large servers create a separate virtual PC virtual machine for users. Users can connect to this virtual machine through the network through a dedicated app on the mobile phone and use it. Therefore, the performance of this PC virtual machine will not be affected by the mobile phone SoC, and users can upgrade at any time.
Since it is connected through the network, Huawei Cloud Computer has high requirements for the network environment. The official said that it needs 5M uplink and 10M downlink bandwidth, and the network delay can be kept at 10ms for smooth operation. In addition to ensuring the computing power of the host in the cloud, in solving the problem of interaction delay, thanks to the GPU hard decoding ability of the Kirin 980, it can greatly improve the speed of mobile phones to interpret cloud signals and provide low delay guarantee for the virtual machine to run PC games. Therefore, the performance of mobile phones is not completely ignored. At present, Huawei/Glory official said that Huawei cloud computers can be used on Kirin 970 and Kirin 980 models, and Glory V20 is the best one optimized temporarily.
Payment scheme
Because the virtual virtual machine provides services on large servers, like other cloud services, you need to pay if you want to use Huawei Cloud PC services for a long time. At the same time, the official also provides users with a 10 minute trial every day. Users can decide whether to pay after the actual experience. Two configurations are provided during the trial: standard and game. From the name, we can see that the standard is for ordinary office users, and the game is for game users.
In terms of specific payment methods, Huawei Cloud PC provides two ways: monthly payment and on-demand payment. If it is a monthly payment, it costs 59.8 yuan/month to choose the standard type+1 month of use+no additional purchase of data disks. At present, the promotion is to buy 12 months for one month, and the price will change to 55.2 yuan/month if you buy one year directly.
If you pay on demand, you can provide more configurations. There are four types of configurations, namely, economy, standard, high configuration and game. The price ranges from 2 yuan/hour to 4 yuan/hour. The price varies according to different users. Similar to the option just mentioned, if you choose the standard type+1 month+no additional data disk, you will need to pay 25 yuan for 5 hours of use. The game type is the most special. It does not provide the service of saving data. Similar to the computer in Internet cafes, the system will automatically restore after shutdown. It is suitable for occasional games. The charge is 3 yuan/hour, starting from 5 hours.

We purchased standard and game models respectively for specific tests. The test model uses Glory V20, which is directly connected to the display using the docking station. External keyboard and mouse are connected. The company's network is 20M upstream and 20M downstream.
Standard
By viewing the system information, we can know that the standard virtual virtual virtual machine system of Huawei server is Windows Server 2016 Standard (1607), the processor is Xeon E5-2680 v3, and the memory is 8GB. At the same time, common software such as WPS, QQ, Chrome, Firefox and so on are pre installed, which makes it convenient for users to start up and work. By the way, Master Lu conducted a score test. It can be seen that the standard model is mainly backward in the graphics card. For ordinary office work, the performance is sufficient. The biggest problem affecting our actual use is actually the network environment.
Consistent with the official propaganda, Huawei's cloud computers do perform similar to local computers with a delay of about 10ms. If the delay is not increased due to the occasional bad network, it is basically the same as using local computers, which is no problem for office work. The actual bandwidth performance of the standard model is better than the marked 2M specification. The measured download speed can reach 400KB/s at most, which is an invisible benefit.
Gaming
Compared with the standard model, the game model has many changes. Although the system is Windows Server 2016 Standard (1607), and the memory is also 8GB, the processor is upgraded to E5-2690 v4, and the pre installed software has also changed from office software to a popular game. When I first opened it, I felt that I was using an Internet cafe computer (laugh).
Since the configuration has been upgraded, it is certainly different from Master Lu in terms of score. Compared with the standard model, the performance of the graphics card has been greatly improved. Perhaps to meet the needs of some users in graphics, the server virtual graphics card is not a common game card, but a professional card GRID M60-1Q. From the point of view of the score, the performance of the game type virtual machine is not particularly excellent, but most games should still be able to run, and you should know that this is a virtual machine from the server. As long as the official is willing to upgrade, a higher performance virtual machine can be created for users in the later stage.
After a brief visit to LOL, Big Pineapple 3 and other games, I personally think the image quality is acceptable. After all, the 4K virtual machine is still a dream for the time being, and the biggest impact in the actual play is the problem of delay. Unlike ordinary office work, the delay of operation on the game will have a more intuitive feeling. Even casual players like the author can feel the delay of keys as long as the network fluctuates when playing LOL. In the actual measurement, if the network delay is within 10ms, it can be said that there is no impact. If it exceeds 30ms, the difference can be felt, but it may not be ideal for competitive players.
From the author's personal point of view, the game type Huawei Cloud PC can be used to play games without any problem, but the game type is limited to the problem of time delay, which is more suitable for games with low operational requirements and more casual games. For competitive games, it is recommended to play on local computers, or look forward to cloud computers in the 5G era in the future.

Because the remote virtual machine is connected through the network, even if there is no display, keyboard, mouse and other accessories on the hand, as long as the Huawei Cloud PC app is opened on the mobile phone, it can be directly connected through the mobile phone, and will not be unavailable because there are no accessories.
