8K is the way! CES 2019 New TV Products

The annual CES (Consumer Electronics Show) was held in Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevada, as scheduled. As in previous years, the most eye-catching thing in this CES is still the high-end TV products of various manufacturers. Speaking of the characteristics of this year, it is believed that mainstream manufacturers have upgraded from 4K to 8K TV to compete. Here we are Love to play computer games We have sorted out the eye-catching new products of each manufacturer.

Sony

As a traditional TV giant, Sony did not pay much attention to new TV products at this CES conference. Instead, it boasted about its own Spider Man, but its new products should not be underestimated. This time, Sony has brought new products A9G and Z9G belonging to MASTER Series (called Painter Series in China), of which Z9G is the first 8K TV launched by Sony for the consumer market.

However, the Z9G is not a simple upgrade of the Z9F. First, there is a huge difference in size. The Z9G provides two sizes: 85 inches and 98 inches, which are closer to the previous 100 inch Z9D. The image processor is still X1 Ultimate, but the backlight adopts the Backlight Master Drive (dynamic backlight system master technology) and 8K X-extended Dynamic Range PRO (8K Advanced light control technology), and developed a special algorithm for 8K to intelligently detect every object in the 8K picture, further restore the picture details and improve the contrast. Of course, HDR, X-Reality Pro and other technologies that have been equipped with the products before are not absent. As for the price, it has not been announced yet.

At the same time, the A9G launched is less surprising than the Z9G. It provides three more conventional 55 inch, 65 inch and 77 inch models. Like the A9F, it is a 4K OLED panel. Compared with A9F, it is more like upgrading in details. The same X1 Ultimate image processor improves the image quality of SD (standard definition) and HD (high-definition) content close to 4K HDR through enhancement algorithm, and the price is also not announced.

As a leader in the 4K era, it is not surprising that Sony took the lead in launching the 8K TV. The current problems faced by 8K devices are similar to those faced by 4K in those years, and there is not enough content for consumption. However, Sony is not only a TV department, such as the imaging department and the film industry department, which can produce corresponding content that can make 8K TV show its charm. These contents are Sony's advantages.

Samsung

Samsung has previously demonstrated an 85 inch 8K TV. This time on CES, Samsung directly updated the Q900 series, bringing up to 98 inch 8K QLED TV. According to Samsung's instructions, all Q900 series are equipped with Quantum Processor 8K and Quantum HDR chips as standard to better handle 8K related content. At the same time, video content less than 8K can be expanded to close to 8K resolution through algorithms and AI, but the specific enhancement effect remains to be tested.

In addition to 98 inches, Samsung Q900 series also provides different sizes of 65, 75, 82 and 85 inches for consumers to choose from. At present, Samsung has announced the selling price of the 98 inch version in addition to the 98 inch version, of which the 85 inch version is up to 14999.99 dollars, equivalent to about 102510 yuan. It is believed that the price of the top 98 inch version will be even higher.

LG

LG, who is from the same hometown as Samsung, exhibited at CES quite well this time and is worthy of being a major manufacturer of TV panels. Let's first introduce LG's first mass production 8K TV - Z9. Although the model name is similar to Sony's Z9G, LG Z9 uses an 88 inch 8K OLED panel. Its built-in processor is the latest generation Alpha 9 Gen2, which supports Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Panorama Sound. Like Samsung and Sony, LG Z9 has AI based image correction to meet 8K resolution. In terms of system, LG acquired webOS from HP, The price has not been announced yet.

Although LG Z9 is good, it is believed that LG's OLED TV R, which belongs to high-end Signature series (called Seal Seal in China), is the most eye-catching one at this CES. R stands for Rollable, which means that the screen can be rolled up and stored in the base by using flexible OLED screens. It can be said that it is the most high-tech product on CES this time. LG finally turned the concept machine exhibited at CES last year into a mass production model.

The hardware specifications of OLED TV R have not been reduced because of this special screen. The 65 inch size 4K resolution, the same Alpha 9 Gen2 chip as the Z9, and the 100W Dolby panoramic sound speakers in the base are worthy of the high-end Signature series. As for how handsome you are, just look at the ads made by LG!

TCL

When international manufacturers launched 8K TV, domestic manufacturers were not idle. TCL also launched its first 8K TV at CES. This new product launched by TCL is X10 QLED 8K, which is the flagship TV product of the 8 series. In addition to the 75 inch 8K+QLED panel, the machine also supports Dolby Vision to achieve HDR effects. In terms of audio, ONKYO audio is used, and Dolby Panorama audio support is no problem. Like other manufacturers, TCL has also prepared an exclusively developed algorithm for 8K TV, realizing 2K to 8K and 4K to 8K to solve the image quality problem of the content itself. The system also integrates a new AI platform, TCL AI-IN, which is still very competitive.

I believe that all of you are very excited after reading the manufacturer's new products, and I also understand the desire to cut hands. However, this is the first wave of 8K TV after all. Just like 4K TV in those days, people who eat crabs have to have substantial assets in addition to courage to support them. So far, most manufacturers have not announced their prices, but just look at the prices announced by Samsung. Basically, you can't get a 10W or 8W soft coin for every product. Everyone should calm down and let those who have mines at home go first.
