It should be noted that although Qualcomm announced that the Snapdragon 855 supports 5G, the chip itself does not integrate 5G baseband. Mobile phone manufacturers can choose to add the Snapdragon X50 5G baseband. In other aspects, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 integrates the world's first computer vision ISP, which is the first in the field of mobile processors, promoting the development of mobile photography. This processor also supports Snapdragon Elite Gaming, which will bring a new gaming experience to flagship mobile devices.

Qualcomm gave a list at the meeting, including Xiaomi OPPO、vivo、 Yijia, ZTE HTC、 Samsung, Nokia, Sony and other brands will release 5G mobile phones based on Snapdragon platform next year. Samsung Electronics executives also announced during the summit that they would launch the first flagship mobile phone supporting 5G networks in the United States in the first half of 2019. This opportunity would use the Snapdragon 855+Snapdragon X50 solution, which should be the Galaxy S10 5G version.

In addition to Snapdragon 855, Qualcomm also released the Qualcomm 3D acoustic sensor, which is the world's first commercial solution to support screen ultrasonic fingerprint. Compared with optical screen fingerprint, the former has the characteristics of water and oil resistance.
