Sharp OLED debut, AQUOS zero release
Sharp OLED debut, AQUOS zero release

Sharp seems to have more vitality after it was acquired by Hon Hai. Although it did not bring flagship models after returning to the Chinese market, the newly released flagship in Japan recently can be said to be a surprise.

We are used to using Liu Haiping as Sharp's model, but this time AQUOS zero is Sharp's first model to use OLED material screen, and this is the screen provided by Sharp itself, which can be said to be Sharp's first show of OLED. Although Sharp has developed OLED screens for a long time, can Sharp's OLED screens be recognized by the market under the pressure of Samsung and LG in South Korea?

Back to the machine itself, the AQUOS zero OLED screen is 6.2 inches in size, 2992x1440 resolution, and supports DCI-P3 color gamut Dolby Vision, Compared with Samsung and LG in terms of specifications and parameters, the actual situation has to wait for the real machine to test.

Another thing that makes AQUOS zero different from previous Sharp models is that Kevlar is used for the first time in the body material to obtain better body strength and lighter weight. After equipped with a 3130Ah battery, AQUOS zero weighs only 146g, which can be said that the weight control is excellent.

In addition, there is no surprise in the hardware configuration. Snapdragon 845's SoC, 6GB RAM+128GB ROM (although the largest in the history of AQUOS series), 8 million front+22.6 million rear cameras, and the latest Android 9 Pie system (the new version of the system is unbelievable), IP68's water and dust prevention are basically standard configurations.

The specific price is not available yet. It is expected to be launched in the winter of this year, and it should become a new product for Japanese operators in autumn and winter. As for markets other than Japan, we can only say that it depends on Sharp's decision. After all, the last flagship AQUOS R was only sold in the Japanese market.
