Intel Showcases New "Abnormal" Processors: 28 Cores, CineBench R15 Scores Over 7300

Love to play computer games On June 5, it was reported that the Taipei Computer Exhibition (COMPUTEX18) was currently under way, and Intel, as an industry giant, would not miss this event. Today, after the release of the Core i7-8086K processor, which can reach 5GHz, Intel also showed the participants a processor with 28 cores.

This processor can be called "abnormal". On the spot, Intel scored 7334 points on the CineBench R15 of this product. It is known that the feverish core i9-7980XE with 18 cores and 36 threads is only 3500. The score of the new processor soared by 110% when the core increased by 55%, which indicates that the core architecture and main frequency have improved. It is reported that this processor adopts a new generation of Cascade Lake architecture, which is still a 14nm process. After the architecture is redesigned, the products using Cascade Lake can effectively protect against Meltdown fusing and Spectre ghost security vulnerabilities.

In addition, during the live score demonstration, the 28 core processor reached 5GHz, which shows how much the new architecture has improved the performance. According to Intel, the product will be officially released in the fourth quarter of this year.
