It is reported that telecom enterprises will launch family broadband preferential packages, and will implement speed increase without price increase. In addition, for small and medium-sized enterprises, the price of special lines will also be further reduced by 10% to 15%.

According to a survey by Akamai, the world's largest Internet content distribution network service provider, in the first quarter of 2017, the average broadband network speed in mainland China was 7.6 megabits per second, ranking 74th in the world broadband speed rankings.  

At the press conference, Wen Ku also said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology ensured that the tariff difference between national traffic and local traffic would be eliminated on July 1, which is often referred to as traffic roaming fees. At present, some telecom enterprises have directly upgraded local traffic packages to national traffic packages for free.
