Xiaomi USB Charger 60W Quick Charger (slightly named, hereinafter referred to as "Xiaomi 6-port Quick Charger") is a new multi port charger launched by Xiaomi. Compared with the common multi port charger, it adds a USB Type-C charging port, which will be "friendly" to some new devices, such as iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8.
The front of the package is low-key, which is the appearance of the product and the slightly cumbersome name.
There are some parameters of the charger on the back of the package. It can be seen that it supports 18W fast charging and QC3.0, and the manufacturer is Zimi.
There are no spare parts in the package, only a power cord and a simple description.
There is a black label on the connector.
After unveiling, we can see the "luxury lineup" of six people, from left to right, namely USB Type-C (supporting fast charging), orange USB Type-A (supporting fast charging) and four gray USB Type-A. The official did not explain too much about what charging standards its Type-C interface supports. In fact, it is very powerful.
The back of the product also has some parameter descriptions similar to the back of the package. The single port grey Type-A supports up to 5V 2.4A (four in total), the single port orange Type-A supports up to 9V 2A or 12V 1.5A, and the single port Type-C supports the same standard as the orange Type-A, with a theoretical peak of 18W.
After the power is connected, there will be a weak white power indicator under the logo of "mi".
Next is the most critical real machine test. First try the orange Type-A, which supports QC3.0 No problem. With Xiaomi 5s, it can reach about 16W, which is normal. Surprisingly, this interface also supports Huawei's FCP (9V 2A) fast charging standard, which can fully support QC2.0、QC3.0、FCP、 Apple 2.4A Wait for a few standards, the functions are very comprehensive.
The USB Type-C interface at the end of the charger is the key point of this test. When tested with the same mobile phone, it was found that this interface also supports QC3.0 However, the official didn't mention anything about it. It felt a bit conservative. The power of Xiaomi 5s using this interface can also reach about 16W.
Next is the PD test. Directly use Apple's original USB-C to Lightning wire, connect iPhone X, and the maximum power can reach about 16W, which is normal, similar to other PD charging heads. When we connect Huawei's equipment, we find that it can also support FCP fast charging, and its characteristics are similar to the orange Type-A interface next to it. At this point in the test, I have to say again that Xiaomi is too low-key.
Finally, try Apple's 2.4A standard (which was once the "fast charging" of iOS devices), and find that the iPhone 7 Plus can also exceed the power of 9W, proving that it also supports this standard. This means that in addition to Apple's original USB-C charging head, the Xiaomi USB charger 60W fast charging version is the most suitable charger for the new generation of iPhone (including iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X). We know that the new generation iPhone supports PD fast charging, but if the general PD fast charging head is used, the standard will be reduced to 5V 1A in the later stage of charging. If the charger is an original Apple charger, the 5V 2.4A standard can also be used in the later stage, which would be faster. Xiaomi charger can achieve the same function as the original Apple USB-C charger head. The measured performance of Xiaomi's multi port charger has really brought us a big surprise. In addition to the official QC3.0, it also supports Huawei FCP PD and other standards. The most important thing is that the Type-C interface also supports Apple 2.4A. The peak power of multiple interfaces can also exceed 60W, which is very suitable for some users who often need to charge multiple devices at the same time. The price of 129 yuan is also relatively affordable compared with many Type-C interface chargers. In addition to being too bulky, it is a good choice.
