Huawei will hold its annual flagship Mate 10/10 Pro new product launch in Berlin at 8:00 p.m. on October 16, domestic time. After many leaks at home and abroad, everyone has already known the appearance of the new machine.
On the morning of October 16, Mate 10's real machine map and running score appeared on the network, and the test address was obviously a retail store. The first is the machine model, including the brown and black Mate 10, and the black Mate 10 Pro with a little metallic silver gray.
Note that Mate 10 is still a traditional 16:9 screen, not a full screen as expected. Like the previous Mate 9 Pro, the front fingerprint is used. The main change is the super narrow border on both sides, which narrows up and down the fuselage. However, it is disappointing that although Mate 10 Pro uses a 16:9 full screen and has better control over the upper part of the fuselage, it does not put a fingerprint home key on its chin, instead, it puts Huawei logo directly and uses the back fingerprint scheme. The on-site prototypes are all metal frames+mirror back cover, and the effect of collecting fingerprints is very obvious.
In addition, Mate 10's "improvisation score" was also on the scene. GeekBench's single core was only 1941, and its multi-core was only 6339. Both scores were inferior to the Snapdragon 835, which played well. Even compared with the previous generation Kirin 960, the score of a single core has only slightly increased by about 100 points, and it is still beaten by the Apple platform. The more than 960 transistors from Kirin seem to be really used on AI chips or GPUs, rather than CPU performance.
