In the early morning of October 5, Google held a new autumn product launch conference, and a number of new hardware products, including Pixel 2, officially met with everyone. On the way to the launch conference, DxOMark, a French camera evaluation agency, also immediately released the evaluation of Pixel 2, with a total rating of 98, ranking first over Galaxy Note8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
The review of Google Pixel 2 was released one day after Galaxy Note8, and exceeded the latter by 4 points at one time, which gave Samsung a feeling of being demoralized.
Google's Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL both use the same camera configuration. The 12.2 million pixel Dual Pixel sensor, with a unit pixel of 1.4 μ m, F1.8 aperture, is equipped with OIS anti shake (OIS and EIS can be turned on at the same time during video), and has Google's proud HDR+function. Judging from the sensor information, it is likely to use IMX362, the sensor size is 1/2.55 inch, and the information here is estimated to be rounding or clerical error.
According to the composition of 98 general comments, Pixel 2's photo score is 99, and the Samsung Galaxy Note8 (100 points) is still the highest, which is regarded as a success in this respect. The video score is 96, which is quite strong, and it is far away from Galaxy Note8 (84 points) and iPhone 8 Plus (89 points). In terms of photography, except for noise and focus, many other items are comparable to Note8. In terms of contrast, color and texture, Pixel 2 can be said to have completely exploded Note8. Compared with the previous dominant iPhone 8 Plus, Pixel 2 has obvious advantages in auto focusing and noise.
It seems that Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL has been "sealed" by DxOMark. We are also looking forward to the photography level of these two new phones. Please look forward to our subsequent comparative evaluation of Pixel 2 XL photos.
