Recently, Sony has "started" in the field of ultra small sensors, and the new sensors released by Sony Semiconductor for wearable and mobile devices have set a record for the world's smallest camera:

• The size is only 2.6mm (W) * 2.6mm (D) * 1.45mm (H), and the weight is 0.02g. It is equipped with a 2.6mm three plastic lens module, which is connected by a flexible circuit board, and the overall module weight is less than 0.1g.

• Surprisingly, it is not the smallest 1 micron unit pixel size today, but 1.12 micron (the same as IMX258/234/298 and other sensors). It can take pictures with a maximum resolution of 1296 * 816, a total of 1.06 million pixels. It provides two sub models for taking color and black and white images.

• In addition to its size, its power consumption control is also quite impressive. It is only 8mW at 3 frames per second and 55mW at 60 frames per second. Its limit mode can provide a high-speed scanning mode of 240 frames per second at 324 pixels.

The camera with such size and power consumption can be easily used for visual detection of UAVs, even put on glasses like Google Glass, or used for life recording cameras worn on the body. Others, such as photo watches and ballpoint pens, are left to manufacturers to open their own minds.
