The package box of Molecule Route M1 is very large. The flat rectangular cardboard box, with plain white as the background color, is printed in blue and black. On the front of the package is a three-dimensional high-definition picture of Moluyu M1, with arch bridge shape, four antennas and The letter "M" LOGO shows its characteristics vividly; With the text and graphic description in the other three corners, we can grasp the characteristics of Moro Route M1.

The core components of the motorcycle route are all integrated on a black circuit board, and four antennas are connected to the circuit board through wires. The circuit board layout is reasonable, the chip position is appropriate, and a metal shield is designed to ensure the stability and anti-interference of the signal.

The master chip uses the MT7615N of MediaTek, which implements 256QAM modulation and 2.4G 800Mbps wireless rate.

The four antenna wires are fixed through the trunking on the bottom shell to ensure that they do not affect each other; At the same time, each wire has a slight margin at the antenna post to ensure that the wire will not be pulled off when the antenna rotates.

The inside of the plastic shell of the router is printed with the product material, production date, recycling level and other words and patterns.

For a four antenna router, the four antennas of router M1 are true four antennas. As it happens, the X2 I'm using is also a four antenna. Let's make a simple comparison between the two products to let you better understand the Moro Route M1.

The front shape is very similar. The middle is the product logo. The difference is that M1 has only one indicator light, directly below the logo; X2 has four indicators located at the bottom of the front.

The non detachable antenna is also used, but the antenna positions of the two products are different. The X2 antenna is horizontally placed directly behind; M1 has two antennas at the back and two antennas are arranged separately. When the antenna is upright, the four antennas of M1 can maintain a suitable distance from each other, so that the signals do not affect each other, thus covering a larger area.

Similarly, it only supports horizontal placement, but the design of the bottom cooling hole is also different. X2 is a circular cooling hole; M1 is the heat dissipation grille of the horizontal bar, with better ventilation effect.

The back interface is very different. First, X2 has 1WAN, 2LAN, 1USB, power supply and reset holes; M1 has 1WAN, 4LAN, power supply and reset holes, no USB port and indicator light, and no ventilation holes are designed. However, the arch bridge design assigns all heat dissipation tasks to the backplane.

The internal PCB size of the two products is basically the same, but the shell thickness is very different. M1 is almost one third thicker than X2. The same arc shape, but M1 obviously has larger radian and larger gap.

Software

The Molyboard M1 is very easy to use, just connect the power cable and network cable. The rest of the steps are completed by the software, which is very user-friendly. The software settings of M-route M1 are also very simple, providing APP and WEB management methods.

APP can be downloaded and installed by scanning the instructions or the QR code on the packaging box.

The name of the APP is Mo Route. After entering the APP, you need to register an account and bind the router.

If you want to manage the router, you must first select MOWIFI to connect, and then you can make further settings.

The function settings are all concentrated in one page, and can be set in sequence according to the steps. The operation is very simple, and the fool type one key setting is realized.

Compared with APP settings, WEB pages can also achieve the above functions, but they will be richer and more powerful. After I connect MOWIFI with my laptop, I automatically enter the WEB management interface. The default address is 192.168.51.1, which is not on the same IP segment as the current router, and will not cause conflicts.

The settings are also very simple and clear. You can set all the Internet settings directly on one page to minimize the difficulty of operation. After the setting is successful, the router needs to be restarted; After restarting, enter the management password, and you can enter the WEB settings home page of Mobile Route M1 for specific management.

The WEB management interface provides sub interfaces for setting functions such as home page, Internet settings, wireless settings, parent control, intelligent flow control, and end users to set the router in line with personal habits.

The rich functions of Mo Routing are actually hidden in the "More" sub interface. Here, there are not only more detailed network settings for advanced players, but also system level settings for routers to create more secure and stable routers. For ordinary home users, it may not be useful, but for enthusiasts, the fun of hardware playability lies here.

I used M1 to replace the T series router used in my home. I had high hopes for the strong performance of M1, and dreamed of using M1 to achieve wireless signal coverage in my family, which is energy-saving and efficient; However, in the actual use process, it was found that the signal coverage was not very ideal, so we had to use T route as the AP and place it in the room with the worst signal to meet the needs of wireless signal connection.

Because the home location of the network cable is not ideal, the router can only be placed in the innermost room. When T route is used, the signal can only cover four rooms of ABCD, and there is no signal at E, so the Internet cannot be accessed; After switching to mobile routing, M1 wireless signal can be found at E, but the quality is poor and the connection is unstable. I used two test software, WirelessMon and Insider, to measure the wireless signal strength and coverage area. The WIFI name of T route is SHUNJUN, and the WIFI name of M1 is MOWIFI-E1FB.

Point A and the router are in the same room. No matter whether it is T route or M1, the signal strength is not very different. The M1 signal is slightly stronger.

Point B is separated from the router by a concrete wall, and the signal strength has a certain attenuation. However, whether it is T route or M1, the signal strength is enough to ensure the Internet access. At this time, the signal strength of M1 is gradually obvious, and the gap between M1 and T route is wide.

There is not only a cement wall between point C and the router, but also a door, forming a sealed space, and the signal strength is severely attenuated. However, whether it is T route or M1, its signal strength can still ensure the Internet access. At this time, the signal strength of M1 is 20 dB ahead of that of T route.

There are two cement walls between point D and the router, and the signal strength has dropped to half of the original. The T route signal is obviously suppressed, and the strength is not enough to ensure a stable connection. However, the signal strength of M1 is still at a high level, which can ensure normal Internet access.

There are three concrete walls between the E-point and the router. The signal strength of both T route and M1 is severely attenuated. T route signals are suppressed in many other wireless signals and can no longer be connected; The M1 signal is in a cleaner channel, so it still maintains the level of - 71dB, but it is also suppressed by other signals. The mobile phone only displays a signal level of one grid, and it can connect to the Internet, but it is unstable and slow.

Through the above field measurements, the strong performance of the motorcycle route has been well reflected. It really realizes the multiplication advantage of the single frequency four antenna, ensures the large coverage of the signal, and realizes high-speed Internet access. However, the effect is not as obvious as it is claimed, and the Internet experience is poor when one grid signal is used.

3. The body is too thick, affecting the appearance. Although the space is large, which is conducive to heat dissipation and the stable operation of the router, the too thick body does affect the aesthetics. In addition, the chips with large divergence are not equipped with heat sinks, which makes it impossible to use so much space.
