The interfaces are distributed on both sides of the coding bar, one side of which is a standard HDMI interface, and there are two indicators beside it, namely, the power indicator and the status indicator.

There are two ports on the other side, a standard USB port and a Micro USB port. The standard USB port is used to connect the mobile phone, while the Micro USB port is used to connect the charging bank and other devices to charge the mobile phone in work.

Two OTG data cables, the interfaces of which are TYPE-C and Micro USB respectively, which means that both Android phones support it, but Apple's is not ready for the moment.

[Installation Process]

Now let's start to connect the device. Because I'm mainly used to share photos, the device connected by this bar is naturally a camera!

First, select the OTG cable that is consistent with the interface of your mobile phone and insert it into the USB interface of the Hemiao coding stick. Special attention should be paid here. This cable must be an OTG cable, while the data cable delivered by your mobile phone cannot meet the requirements.

The mobile phone I selected for this test is Tianji 7, and the interface is TYPE-C.

Since the coding rod is powered by the mobile phone, the power light of the coding rod will light up once the mobile phone is connected.

If the Hemiao APP has been installed, a prompt will appear on the phone: "Allow Hemiao LIVE to access the device", and you must select "OK".

Then select a suitable video cable to insert the Hemiao coding rod.

The camera I use is Sony full frame single electric camera A99, with MINI HDMI interface.

Now the connection process is complete. Open the "Hemiao LIVE" APP and wait for the following experience!

Click the plus sign on the top right corner of the APP home page to add an activity. You need to enter the title, start time and introduction of the activity, and then select a picture as the cover page.

The Hemiao coding stick supports the use of mobile phone cameras and USB cameras to transmit images. Here I mainly demonstrate the images connected to the camera, so select "Hemiao coding stick" on the main interface. Normally, the real-time images in the camera will be displayed on the APP.

The Hemiao coding stick can support 1080P output at most, but because it is live broadcast, the specific resolution depends on the network status. The APP also has a built-in network speed measurement function.

Then you can set the appropriate output code rate in the live broadcast settings.

Before starting the live broadcast, you can send the QR code of the live broadcast address to your friends or directly share it with your friends.

The Hemiao coding stick also supports third-party streaming. Mainstream live broadcast platforms such as Panda and Douyu are all available.

After setting, you can start the live broadcast or video recording at the same time. Click the Start button at the bottom left of the main screen. During the recording process, a red circle icon will flash at the top right corner.

Since it is live broadcast, the bullet screen, as an important function, is also enabled by default, but it can also be manually closed.

During the live broadcast, it also supports the picture in picture function. In addition to the pictures in the camera, we can also turn on the pictures of a mobile phone camera and display them at the same time.

The position and size of the picture in the picture can be adjusted at any time according to the needs, which is quite easy to use. For example, I enlarge it and then adjust it to the upper left corner.

The APP also has a variety of atmosphere sound effects.

As a photography enthusiast, I also attach great importance to the color of the picture. During live broadcast, I can also adjust the brightness, contrast and color saturation of the picture in real time. I like this function very much.

You can also add a text layer to the screen to make some instructions.

Of course, there are some default layer templates in the APP, for example, I added a "Hemiao live broadcast" template.

Then enlarge it in the editor and put it in the upper left corner of the screen. It looks good.

For friends who like live sports, you can also edit real-time scores.

I continued to use it for about 20 minutes. The surface of the coding bar is just a little warm. I feel that the heat dissipation effect is good.

Taking advantage of my interest, I came to a live broadcast of night scenes in the evening. I felt more comfortable with it.
