Unpacking appearance

From the perspective of the outer package, the X7 model is really a bit flagship. The pure black box looks like a small treasure box, with a gilded logo in the middle, which is easy to introduce.

On the top is the gilded "Little Pepper" brand font, and the X7 model is not marked in the prominent position of the box. In fact, this method saves costs.

There is a product label page on the bottom of the box, where we can see that this product belongs to Pepper X7, champagne gold color matching. I have mentioned other configurations before, so I will not repeat them.

Unpacking the plastic outside, I was surprised that there was no anti-theft seal on the box. When I opened the box cover, the phone was placed vertically inside, which can be taken out directly. The accessories were placed next door and covered by a paper box cover.

Pepper X7 uses positive fingerprint identification and Meizu's round waist key design to support Alipay fingerprint payment. It is estimated that it is a bit difficult for YunOS to support WeChat fingerprint payment; Under the white panel deposit, the black edge is too obvious; The 5.5 inch AMOLED screen is made of Corning 2.5D curved glass, but the resolution is only 720P.

Comparing the front of the X7 with Meizu's MX6, although it looks similar, the MX6 is better no matter the layout of the camera and sensor, or the control of the black edge.

In fact, with my naked eye, I can't see any big difference between 720p and 1080p in display. You need to zoom in to see the obvious difference from pixels. 1080p pixels need to be more delicate.

The same round waist key, X7, also draws on Meizu's design in terms of function. You can tap to return and press to return to the home page, but Meizu only has long press to open the language function, while X7 long press to open the background, long touch is to open the language, which is a little more functional; The biggest surprise of X7's round waist key is that it supports screen out unlocking. Meizu's round waist key is press fingerprint recognition, and does not support screen out unlocking. It can only be unlocked by fingerprint after the screen is lit by pressing or other ways. It is not as convenient as X7's screen out unlocking. However, I think the unlocking speed is a bit slow, and the system should still need to be optimized.

This time, Pepper X7 is a 16 million pixel flagship camera, which is not equipped with a front soft light. As for the photo effect, we will talk about it later in the evaluation.

The X7 body adopts a metal integrated design and nano injection antenna. This design style and manufacturing process have become very mature in recent years. Most metal mobile phones on the market use this technology.

The most unacceptable design on the body is the position of the power key and volume key, which are placed on the left side of the inner machine. The life service on the left screen has lost its original card style and characteristics after several updates. The original design concept of life service is similar to the development of application account by WeChat now, while today's life service is more like a yellow page integrating headline, surrounding life, reading and other functions.

The card package function, which originally belonged to life service, has become a separate application. The card package function is very important. In addition to the reminder cards of various services, it seems that the functions of driving and locking Yunos cars are also integrated in the card package (when I tried to ride Rongwei R5 in Yunxi, it seems that the driver operates the relevant functions of the car in this card package).

The desktop hides the cold room function. You can pull out the hidden space by sliding two fingers up and down on the desktop. You can throw the rarely used applications here, and the system will hide them. In the settings, you can set that you can only use fingerprints to open the desktop drawer, which can be more hidden. If you want to use it, you can drag the applications out, or use the search function, Search the app directly to open it.

Yunos has added a lot of somatosensory functions in 5.1.1 system. Phantom touch function can draw symbols directly in the locked screen interface and black screen state, and open applications (need to be unlocked). I don't like to use it, but double click wake-up is very easy to use. Gesture somatosensory function is very practical, and can be used basically, especially three finger screenshots, The advanced screenshot function of Yunos is still simple, and more functions need to be added. Smart sense, this function is useless to me. It is not as convenient as touch screen operation. Super headset is a practical function. Unfortunately, I used to have smart keys and lost them after using them several times; Flip mute of smart calls is also available.

This function of photo album is also intelligent. It can automatically help you classify your photos through image recognition, making it easy to find. I think the speed of classification is obviously faster than that of Flyme album.

In terms of system applications, there is a perfect industrial chain and ecological chain, including Xiami for music, Youku for video, Goddard for maps, and Alibaba's layout on the ecological industrial chain is very complete, using its own app.

The era of free network is facing the end. China's free network storage services have fallen one after another, and Alibaba's Kupan has not been spared. Although Kupan has died, Yunos's cloud services have inherited the space of Kupan and continue to be free. Now Flyme charges for the system's cloud services under the banner of Kupan's death, I don't know whether it means that the free voice service of Yunos will not last long?

The mobile phone anti-theft function of Yunos has not been updated for a long time. The function has not changed since I first met Yunos in 13 years. Looking at other systems now, a lot of manpower and material resources have been invested in the research of mobile phone anti-theft. Their mobile phones have already done so. As long as they are connected to the Internet, they may be recovered, but it is useless to swipe the phone. I think the most important thing to solve in the current system is the anti-theft problem.

The Yunos system supports the elderly mode. If the person using the mobile phone is older, this mode can be turned on. In this mode, the font and icon will be magnified to facilitate the use of people with poor eyesight.

Also, you can only shoot vertically with your phone, not horizontally. Finally, there is the professional mode. This professional mode is too unprofessional. There is too little information that can be set. Important differences such as focal length, exposure compensation, and exposure time cannot be controlled. This professional mode is basically the same as the same one.

In terms of configuration, Pepper doesn't have many highlights. The biggest highlight of the system is that it can open QQ and WeChat, but the price has reached an astonishing 2199. At the same price, there is also a Pepper Player. The CPU and screen of this machine are better than X7, and it is also equipped with VR glasses. I have to wonder whether Pepper made a mistake in pricing. As for the X7 photos, they did not meet my expectations for the flagship aircraft.
