Samsung Cloud will stop new user registration and all data upload services on November 28, 2016, and completely stop services on January 20, 2017. Samsung officials recommend that users download, backup and transfer the data as soon as possible.

The latter is the cloud service provided by the Samsung National Bank mobile phone, which is used for cloud backup of users' personal data on mobile phones, such as photos, videos, contacts, SMS, call records, calendars, memos, etc. In 2014, it even provided up to 10TB (10000 GB) of cloud storage space for the then flagship Note4 users, and the service provider behind it was Alibaba's Cool Disk. Kupan announced in September 2015 that it would stop providing personal services, but retain enterprise cloud services, so it was not affected by the event of cloud disk's collective shutdown last year. However, now that Samsung Cloud is closed, it is very likely that Kupan will stop even enterprise cloud services.

Fortunately, only Samsung cloud services in China will be affected this time. Samsung mobile phones in Hong Kong, South Korea, international and other overseas versions use Samsung's own cloud services and will not be affected.
