At the SSD Global Summit held in South Korea recently, Samsung officially released the new M.2 PCIe SSD: 960 PRO and 960 EVO. 960 PRO is a follow-up product of 950 PRO, and 960 EVO is a more cost-effective product, which uses TLC NAND flash memory.
The 960 PRO has a total of 512GB, 1TB and 2TB capacity versions. The maximum continuous read and write speeds are 3500MB/s and 2100MB/s respectively, and the maximum 4KB random read and write (QD32) are 440k IOPS and 360k IOPS respectively.
The 960 EVO has three capacity versions of 250GB, 500GB and 1TB. The maximum continuous read and write speeds are 3200MB/s and 1900MB/s respectively, and the maximum 4KB random read and write (QD32) are 380k IOPS and 360k IOPS respectively.

Both new models will be launched in October this year. The 960 PRO starts at $330 (about 2201 yuan) and the 960 EVO starts at $130 (about 867 yuan).
