On September 20, ASUS brought us a new ZenFone 3 press conference. After the conference, ASUS organized some technical discussions and interviews on new products. Zhang Kaishun, general manager of ASUS Computer Action Computing Business Department, and Yuan Shijun, senior product manager of global mobile phones attended the event and answered various questions from the media. and Love to play computer games It's also my honor to participate in this activity. Reporter: This new product launched by ASUS mobile phone is the world's first truly all-in-one all metal mobile phone with the world's first hidden antenna design. How did ASUS do it? Does this design affect the mobile phone signal?

Yuan Shijun: It's not convenient to talk too much about the hidden technology of the antenna. The new products have more strict requirements on the quality of the signal than in previous years, whether it's wireless wifi or RF signal standards are higher than in previous years. In addition, the traceless antenna is not without traces. The physical limit still exists. Its principle is the same as that of the product with an antenna on the back. We just put the antenna on the top, without affecting the signal.


Reporter: Now there are many cell phone battery explosion accidents. What safety guarantees does ASUS have in this regard?

Yuan Shijun: At present, the charging technology is based on Qualcomm QC2.0 or QC3.0, but the adjustment of the charging curve behind it, how to make the curve activate and perfectly match with the chemical composition of the battery during fast charging, as well as the increase of temperature and the adjustment of the voltage during charging, are very complex. Asustek has a professional team to adjust these aspects, ASUS products have never experienced battery explosion, whether they are laptops, tablets or mobile phones. Other manufacturers may find ODM to contract their products, but all ASUS products, as long as they are related to the power supply, even the charging head and charging line, are controlled by their own research and development teams in terms of materials, quality and design to ensure safety.


Reporter: If the antenna is placed in a corner, it can't be seen visually. Is it possible for other manufacturers to achieve such an effect if they make the antenna so small?

Yuan Shijun: We will have some patent protection. In addition, because this hidden antenna is a process of continuous trial, it is difficult to achieve.


Reporter: Can you talk about it specifically?

Yuan Shijun: In the antenna part, we added some chips to do intelligent switching. For example, when you hold the antenna, if it interferes with the antenna, the chip will switch the main antenna part to the top. So the whole metal back cover may be an antenna, just to see where it moves.


Reporter: How can mobile phone manufacturers hide the antenna signal problem.

Yuan Shijun: Hiding is just a craft. Whether it is spray painting or other methods, the key is to achieve signal stability.


Reporter: As for the product operating system, is our ZenFone 3 system translated from Pegasus 3's easy system? Or are there other exclusive settings?

Yuan Shijun: Basically, the whole architecture is "EasyCare 3.0". The EasyCare system is produced by the software development team of our mainland company. For example, EasyCare uses the first level desktop design, while ZenUI overseas uses the second level desktop design. It is convenient to be close to the usage habits of domestic users.


Reporter: Are these differences still modified around customers?

Yuan Shijun: Yes.


Reporter: I noticed that there are some holes in the mobile phone. My impression is that the anti noise microphone is not turned to this position. Is it because ASUS has made some internal adjustments, or even sacrifices, to hide the antenna? This is the first question about technology. Another question is the market. The number of four mobile phones released today is more than usual, and the pricing is also much higher than in previous years. Does that mean that we will make a distinction in the future, focusing on the middle and high-end market.

Yuan Shijun: The first question is the position of the anti noise microphone. Other mobile phones are available in various places. It will not affect the effect. Our anti noise algorithm has the same microphone effect. On the other hand, with regard to the planning of the product line, we already have ASUS Pegasus 3 in the thousand yuan machine market, and the ZenFone 3 series we released this time is in the 2000, 3000, and 4000 grades, and the layout of the product price range is relatively comprehensive.


Reporter: I have two questions. The first one is about the new generation of five magnet speakers and smart amplifiers, which was not very clear at the press conference. The second is that when the ZenFone 3 Pride was released, a ZenEar headset was mentioned. Can you introduce it?

Yuan Shijun: Generally, mobile phones use single or dual magnets. Speakers are composed of single and cavity. Five magnets can produce the same sound in smaller cavities. Compared with last year, this year's five magnet structure has made some adjustments in the shape of the magnet and the design of the diaphragm, so that it has a better effect. As for the smart amplification chip, it may not directly bring benefits to the end user, but it can let us feel relieved to drive the speaker with high voltage. This smart chip can also detect the diaphragm vibration amplitude, temperature, etc. in real time, to judge whether it has reached the diaphragm vibration limit of the speaker, so that the unit will not be damaged, which brings indirect benefits, of course, is the amplification of the volume, And structural durability.


Reporter: I haven't seen any more introduction about ZenEar earphones.

Yuan Shijun: The earphone on Aoshi's mobile phone is called ZenEar S, and its special structure design can make the air flow in the chamber of the earphone better. When the speaker works, especially when it is low in pitch, it needs air flow. The chamber design of ZenEar S can make the bass display better.


Reporter: Two questions are about mobile phones. The first question is that our fingerprint identification is on the back, and the shape is unique in the market. What's the choice? The second question is about three hybrid focusing. This scheme has existed for a long time. What are ASUS's real advantages?

Yuan Shijun: The shape of fingerprint design will not affect the success or failure of decoding. The current ID design is a design that we believe can demonstrate ASUS's "aesthetics". As for the position on the back, there are two considerations:


First, focus on the proportion of positive impact screens. We learned from the previous generation of products that domestic users care about the proportion of screens, so we finally chose to put fingerprint identification on the back;

Secondly, we released 5.5 inch and 5.7 inch products this year, which can be unlocked at the back and have a more stable grip.
