Recently, Samsung Electronics announced that it will start mass production of Exynos 7570 quad core processor, which is produced using the 14nm FinFET process, mainly for entry-level smart phones and Internet of Things devices. Later, it will launch the Exynos 7870 for midrange models, which also applies to the 14nm process. Exynos 7570 uses four ARM Cortex A53 cores and integrates Cat.4 LTE 2CA communication baseband, including WiFi, Bluetooth, FM and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). The maximum support for WUXGA is 1920 × 1200 screen resolution, and the rear camera supports 13 million or 8 million dual cameras with a single lens. Samsung said that the 14nm FinFET process can improve CPU performance by 70%, reduce power consumption by 30%, and reduce chip area by 20%.
