Today, the famous mobile chip manufacturer MediaTek released the high-end Helio X20 and X25 processors, and the first smart machines using this chip will soon be on the market.
Xili X20 is a ten core 64 bit architecture design. It is composed of two 2.3GHz A72, four 2.0GHz A53, and four 1.4GHz A53. The GPU part is composed of four core Mail-T880 MP4 780MHz, and supports the Pump Express+3.0 fast charging standard. The stack is quite violent.
The Xili X25 is the "enhanced version" of X20. The CPU frequency is increased to 2.5GHz, and the GPU frequency is increased to 850MHz, further enhancing the performance.
Xili X20 and X25 both adopt the three cluster and ten core architecture of MediaTek. Compared with the previous two cluster architecture processors, X20 and X25 are more outstanding in power consumption performance, with a year-on-year decrease of 30% and an increase of 15% in computing power.
The three cluster architecture divides tasks more finely according to their weight levels. The Corepilot 3.0 technology can schedule and allocate ten cores freely and in real time among the three clusters.
With Corepilot3.0 technology, the average power consumption of the three cluster architecture processor can be reduced by 30% compared with the processor, and the computing power can be increased by 15%.
The baseband of Xili X20 and X25 both support Cat. 6, full network communication, and dual 4G+, which can realize high-speed download at 300Mbps.
In addition to the improvement of the processor, MediaTek also used its own self-developed Imagiq image signal processor for the first time, integrating the current industry's more advanced photography technology and functions. It is said that Imagiq image technology can give full play to the advantages of dual cameras, and dual cameras may no longer be a chicken.
According to MediaTek in the press conference, the first batch of smartphones equipped with Xili X20/X25 will be launched in March and April this year, so there is no need to worry about the production capacity. It is estimated that OPPO, Qiku 360, Meizu and LeEco will use this processor.
Bai Yongxiang, co-founder and current president of Meizu Technology, has said on Weibo that Meizu PRO6 will launch the world's first Xili X25 processor. This platform is jointly built by Meizu and MTK, which has deeply optimized Meizu. Meizu will monopolize Xili X25 for several months.
