As a mobile phone owned by CAT (Caterpillar), which is famous for its maneuverability, the newly released S60 still continues the previous three prevention features. This time, it also adds a black technology - thermal imaging, becoming the world's first smartphone that supports thermal imaging.
The appearance is still familiar, and the most curious thermal imaging part uses the military level C2 thermal imaging module provided by FLIR, which can intuitively display the difference of object temperature. It can be used to detect the heat loss of surrounding doors and windows, identify overheated electrical appliances and circuits, or look at the road in complete darkness. The accompanying FLIR thermal imaging photography application and MSX technology can capture images, panoramas or high-resolution videos. In addition, it supports temperature point metering, and can obtain data readings of the lowest, highest and average temperatures.
Other hardware configurations include Snapdragon 617 processor, 4.7 inch 720P screen with gorilla 4 glass, 3GB RAM+32GB ROM, 13 million rear cameras and 5 million front cameras, 3800mAh battery, and Android 6.0 cotton candy pre installed in the system.
In terms of durability, S60 is able to withstand falling from a height of six feet, while waterproof can persist for one hour in water five meters deep, which is three times as waterproof as Xperia Z5. In addition, it still supports taking photos or videos at this depth, absolutely meeting the needs in extreme situations.
According to CAT, S60 will be officially unveiled at MWC next week. As for the price, it will remain at the original level - $599, which is believed to be quite attractive for special people.
