Last year, Samsung released Artik, a low-power IoT specific chip, which includes three types of Artik 1/5/10. The chip has been on sale recently and only sells for $99. These three chips have different design preferences for data processing, storage and wireless communication, and can be used for devices such as the Internet of Things, intelligent hardware, robots and UAVs.
As a single microchip, Samsung Artik also has cloud storage functions, built-in encryption and data analysis functions that other chips of the same level do not have. Artik 5 chips have been sold in foreign dealers for 99 dollars.
Artik 5 is 29x25mm in size, equipped with 1GHz ARM dual core processor (Mali 400 MP2 GPU), 512MB LPDDR3 memory and 4GB eMMC flash memory. Support Wi Fi, low-power Bluetooth, and 802.11 b/g/n. In addition, the chip can decode 720p 30fps video in H.264 and other formats, and also provides TrustZone, with a wide range of interfaces, including USB, GPIO, I2C, UART and SPI ports are mainly used in camera, UAV and other products.
