Yesterday, on the first day of MWC 2016, MediaTek released their first 16nm SoC, Helio P20. Helio P20's CPU adopts 8-core A53 architecture, with a main frequency of 2.3GHz, supports dual channel LPDDR4X memory of 1600MHz (up to 6GB), memory bandwidth of up to 25.6GB/s, GPU of Mali T-880MP2 900MHz, camera of up to 24 million pixels, screen of up to 1080P, full network access, and Cat.6 network.
Helio P20 is positioned like the MT6753 last year. Compared with the MT6753, besides its performance improvement, the most important thing is that it supports all Netcom. At present, some domestic manufacturers have pulled the MT6797, which was positioned as "high-end" by MediaTek last year, to the 1000 yuan platform. From the current performance of Helio P20, it may become the SoC for low-end computers in 2016.
