Is iPad Pro a failed product? Only 49000 units were sold in China

According to data from research company TalkingData, Apple's latest large-scale tablet computer, iPad Pro, has been on the market in China for one month, but its sales volume is only 49000 units. Chinese consumers have always been enthusiastic about Apple's products. Therefore, it was generally believed that this time the iPad Pro would also sell well. However, TalkingData data shows that only 49000 iPad Pro were activated in the first month after its launch in China.

In contrast, the activation volume of the iPad Air 2 in the first month after its initial launch in China reached 557000 units. The launch date of iPad mini4 is only 2-3 months earlier than that of iPad Pro, but the sales volume has also reached 92000 units.

TalkingData said that the initial sales data of the iPad Pro did not seem to be ideal, which was partly related to the higher price of the iPad Pro. The starting price of the iPad Pro in China is 5888 yuan. The official keyboard kit and stylus cost 1288 yuan and 728 yuan, and a complete set of them costs at least 7904 yuan, while the top version needs 9904 yuan for a complete set, which is quite expensive.

At present, China has become one of the largest markets for Apple. In the third quarter of this year, it generated more than 13 billion dollars of revenue for Apple, compared with 6 billion dollars in the same period of 2014.
