Qualcomm just released its flagship SoC—— Snapdragon 820 , but it will not meet with us until 2016 Cortex-A72 Midrange chip of Snapdragon 620 Will take the lead in Samsung on December 23 Galaxy A9 Qualcomm announced that Snapdragon 620 was going to say "goodbye" to us.
On December 17, Qualcomm announced on the news on its official website that it would rename Snapdragon 618 to Snapdragon 650 and Snapdragon 620 to Snapdragon 652. The purpose of this move is to enable customers and consumers to better distinguish their performance gap from the Snapdragon 61X series. Interestingly, the products equipped with Snapdragon 620 and Snapdragon 618 have not been launched or even released yet. The first product using Snapdragon 652 (620) will be Samsung's Galaxy A9, which will meet us on December 23.
Snapdragon 652 (620) uses a quad core Cortex-A72 1.8GHz and a quad core Cortex-A53 1.4GHz to form an eight core big LITTLE architecture, while Snapdragon 650 (618) uses dual core Cortex-A72 and quad core Cortex-A53 to form a six core big LITTLE architecture. Both are 64 bit processors with 28nm technology, and both use Adreno 510 graphics processors. For the performance test of Snapdragon 652 (620), please pay attention to our real machine evaluation next week.
