Apple and Samsung are the two largest smartphone manufacturers in the world. Previously, they had maintained a good cooperative relationship. However, with Samsung's growing strength, Apple also began to use patents as a weapon to restrict each other. At present, their patent war has spread to more than 10 countries. On Wednesday, a court in The Hague, the Netherlands, cited a previous ruling made by a British court, ruling that some of Samsung's Galaxy tablets did not infringe Apple's design patents.

This ruling involves Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Galaxy Tab 7.7. Samsung stated after the court ruling that Apple's design prototype can be seen in many samples, and they do not believe that Apple is the first manufacturer to design rectangular flat plates with rounded corners.
