"Zero" flight control is quite famous in the professional field, but because it has been in the professional field before, it is not famous in the consumer field. But this company, which was born as a fixed wing flight control company, finally launched its own professional entry-level aircraft Xplorer (Explorer) at the beginning of this year.

In terms of technical parameters, Xplorer It adopts its own flight control and PTZ, with its own 1080P video camera (the highest pixel for taking pictures is 14 million), built-in wifi real-time image transmission, and supports one button takeoff and landing and return flight. Compared with performance, its butcher price of 3999 yuan is more landmark.

Before the detailed evaluation, let's take a look at its unpacking pictures.

The machine is packed in a gray and black paper box, with a full English product introduction written on the back and a simple Chinese product introduction sticker on the side.


The inside of the package is very exquisite. The middle is the machine body, and the side and bottom of the machine are accessories that are packaged into boxes.

There are five accessory boxes. The top of the box is the description of the contents of the box, and the bottom is the logo of XLORER.



The product slogan of "Discover Your Sky" is printed on the opening of the box, which is slightly higher than the standard. The internal layered accessories are very suitable for Virgo.


The instructions, quality assurance instructions and parts list are all separately packed in a parts box. The left side of the above figure is the front and back of the instructions, and the right side is the front and back of the parts list.


The rotor and accessories are placed uniformly, and the contents of the accessories bag are quite "substantial". The propeller and its fixing parts, PTZ shock absorption ball, landing gear foot pads and so on all have additional accessories. Positive and negative propellers are marked in different colors.



There are different patterns on the front of the rotor fixing screws, and different colors on the back for differentiation.

Battery and power supply


There are many more power accessories than normal models.


For 15V/4A 60W charger, it takes more than one hour to fully charge the battery.


The adapter is a native domestic two pin plug, and the machine is additionally provided with adapters of EU, SAA and UK with three different national specifications.



The body battery is almost made into a real cuboid, with multi pin connectors on the side and detailed use warnings.



The black charging base is also very high, a bit like the expansion dock of Sony's tablet. In addition to charging the aircraft battery, there is a USB interface for charging the remote control.

After opening the package of Daimeng's remote control carton, the remote control also has a fluorescent green tip, and the remote control rod also has a silicone protective sleeve.


The whole body of the remote control is made of hard frosted plastic. The two antennas on the top are the shortest and cutest antennas that the author has ever seen. The circular shape of the antenna feels good.



The top end of the remote control lever is a tooth shaped bulge used to enhance friction. Below are IOC (headless intelligent direction control), automatic homing key and automatic takeoff/landing button; In the lower row are the indicators of wifi link, aircraft, GPS and remote control power.



The left and right corners of the remote control are the brightness of the flight indicator light and the pitch angle adjustment wheel of the camera.



The bottom of the remote control is a micro USB charging interface, and the back of the bottom is the power switch of the remote control.


There are large soft silicone anti slip pads on both sides of the back of the remote control, which feel good. The back of the relay is reserved with connecting contacts and fixing clips.




The shape of repeater is also different from that of common products.

The hidden phone holder can be pulled out from the top of the remote control. The angle of the holder can be adjusted at will within a certain range, but the limit length is not large, and it can hold about 6 inches of mobile phones.


Aerocraft

The whole body is grayish black, with fluorescent green decorative strips and diamond shaped cutting shape, which is more serious and cool than similar products.


The pure black part on the top is the most expensive control module of the machine. There are many slots on the side similar to the cooling grille. The power key on the left side of the logo is also made like decoration.


There is a motor beside the wing, and there is a mirco USB interface for debugging on the front of the fuselage.


The body of the machine is not very large, and the structure of the back of the body is not complicated after the modular design. In the middle is the connecting platform between the battery and the PTZ.


On the wing are landing gears and LED status lights that are large enough to be seen directly from the protective cover. Next to the landing gear base is the antenna, and the top of the landing gear is a replaceable silicone pad.



The battery slot is below the connection platform, and the PTZ interface and slot are above it.


After the landing gear is erected, it has a slight inner eight shape. When it falls in a straight line, it can disperse the stress outward to protect the control module in the middle. However, when this shape falls, it seems that PTZ may be attacked.


PTZ and camera


The PTZ is also designed with sharp edges and corners. The camera below has a silicone protective cover. The camera has its own mounting bracket when leaving the factory.


The PTZ is connected by contacts, and its appearance is very compact. The front of the PTZ is the mirco USB interface for debugging and the camera shutter key.



On the right side of the PTZ, you can see the flat cable also painted in black.


The 1080P camera can take 14 million pixel pictures. It has a square shape and a mirco SD card slot on the top. It comes with Samsung's 8G 10 speed card. The right side of the card slot is the opening for the status indicator light, and the back side is the cooling grille of the camera.


The front of the camera is a magnetic lens filter, which is installed by default to filter the dark light in the daytime. The attached protective front cover can be installed on cloudy days or at night.

The installation of the battery is completed by pushing in the battery and pushing down the fixing snap.


Pull the snap on the right side of the holder to put it into the PTZ.


Long press the top power button to power on and start the machine, and the status light below the machine body will light up.

Only the propeller can take off directly.
